Showed a flat by Sarah Kelly which I was told had not been lived in before. Had been on the market 2 months, no offers. As soon as we registered interest, a mysterious other offer was placed the same day (as they always seem to). Put down the holding deposit and viewed the flat again a week before move in when everyone is fully committed. The bed was unmade and clear signs the flat was being lived in at which point we were told there was actually another tenant living there and we had never been told anything different. LIARS AND CHEATS, avoid at all costs

We asked for basic fire safety information (on a flat we had already paid a reservation fee for) and were refused it with no explanation, and the landlord then rejected our offer (although he had already accepted it previously) because apparently not signing the offer letter after two days was 'unacceptable.' The flat in question had numerous fire safety issues, as flagged by the London Fire Brigade in a publicly accessible report. Shocking consideration for human safety, would not recommend.
