As soon as we registered interest, a mysterious other offer was placed the same day (as they always seem to). Put down the holding deposit and viewed the flat again a week before move in when everyone is fully committed. The bed was unmade and clear signs the flat was being lived in at which point we were told there was actually another tenant living there and we had never been told anything different.
