As a tenant, I would not trust this company. They gladly took my rent 6 months up front to secure my rental. I never paid a month thereafter late. When is came to moving out, I was accused of damage that was already there and proved when moving in. I was also accused of cleanliness that was was clean and clear. On top of that, they did not follow the process of of the deposit protection process and attempted to bypass the correct process that is there to protect tenants. Martin and Co are there for their profit and as a future renter or buyer, I would never use them as an agent going forward due to their dishonesty, deceitfulness and lack of accountability.

Booked a viewing and told them I’d be travelling from Newcastle to see the property. Travelled 4 hours to then get an email once I’d arrived that the viewing had been cancelled, no reason or alternative provided. Nice way to waste a non refundable hotel and a tank of fuel 👍🏽 …

Give 0 stars if I could. Awful service from this team a few months ago! Had a tenancy all set up for a property, paid the deposit , had the contracts signed and everything. We explained to the team that our property at the time was inhabitable and we had serious issues with our landlord and needed to get out desperately. In order to pay for the deposit we had to get our deposit on the property back early , we agreed with our landlord at the time to end our tenancy as of that day in order to get the deposit back. So the agents knew our desperate situation. A week before we were due to move in the agents emailed us , 16:30pm on a Friday afternoon telling us the landlord has changed his mind and wanted to withdraw the property from the market . I call straight away to ask what was happening to be told that it was a to- and fro situation for about a week about what the landlord wanted to do - no one from the team thought it would be a good idea to tell us this , even despite telling them about ending our tenancy early in order to secure it . We were then left with a packed house , no tenancy and had to wait over 10 days to get our money back from Martin and Co in order to try and secure an alternative property - all we got was ‘sorry we need to act on behalf of the client’ in a blunt generic email. Awful, AWFUL service and left us in a horrible situation that led us to be evicted by our landlord and now homeless . No professionalism or customer service and completely poor communication.

Too bad that no zero star rating. No response, no maintenance, always missing appointments, no refund of deposit….. Don’t trust google, go trustpilot to take a look to some real comments, definitely will scare you. Avoid in all cost.

Dear All, they are quite prompt while you are still paying your rent, once you have vacated the property after paying all your due, its very very difficult to close other formalities, e.g: Inventory clearance, Deposit clearance. Chasing them since 3 months without having a proper response.NegativeResponsiveness

Disgusting service. Agents don't know what they are doing. Pushed through an application then landlord didn't proceed and won't refund my deposit. Taking to court. Will keep updated.

We are students renting a flat: good value for money. However, property management has been very disappointing and unprofessional. We’ve had a few conventional issues with the flat I.e. light bulb replacement, jammed door and we have been seeking a professional cleanse of our outside area which, when the flat was given to us, was in an unusable state. As such, communication is very poor and the agents are very unresponsive. We have had to repeat the same issues to multiple agents and never receive a call back. On multiple occasions it is us, the tenants, seeking confirmation on contractors coming in, which have ended up canceling without us being informed. We have had to even go to the agency itself to repeat the same few issues we have been experiencing yet nothing has changed so far. Ultimately, given the fact that we have rented a student flat with another agency previously, I believe that there are better and more student-oriented agencies in Leamington Spa. Indeed, considering that we have 8-9 more months until our tenancy is over, we find ourselves in a position where our hands are tied.
