Dexters Kingston (Harry Khan) got us through a quite long and complicated sale for which we are very relieved. A call out too to David Fisher. However, I feel that Dexters, like other estate agents, initially over-priced the house we were selling (in hope? Optimism?) which slowed the viewings and sale. Their valuation didn’t recognise the current very dampened market, and meant we had to reduce the price by a hefty amount to get visits - which prolonged the sale period and caused anxiety, We also hadn’t met our buyers, and as the sale period lengthened with various complications, we were keen to talk to them direct. Dexters were unhappy about this but we did eventually pass emails back and forth through their office, which not only helped us to get a hang of our buyers - who are great - but they also had a better idea about us. I believe the contact (albeit at one remove) eased things a lot. Why were Dexters not keen on personal contact? We don’t know.
Used Dexters when moving rental flats. Mostly dealt with Alex. Had to chase things up on multiple occasions and didn't get responses that were promised. The paperwork all got dealt with quickly though.
Working with Jordan from Dexter's, hes gone out of his way to get back to me and done as much as is in his power to help with the situation we are dealing with.
We unfortunately rented a flat from Dexters Kingston. They're also in charge of managing the building (they told us they deal with the block management side of things as well), which was left in an absolutely appalling state for more than a year. We constantly had to report DISGUSTING fly tipping and they called it a mere 'annoyance'. It is NOT an annoyance, it is ILLEGAL. The bin room was left in a terrible state and without a lock on. The parking area, right below our flat, was filthy, unsanitary, a fire hazard and a health and safety risk. Eventually we had to get the council involved to clean up the horrendous levels of tipping. They constantly act in complete bad faith, misleading and passing the blame on each other instead of helping tenants. DO NOT RECOMMEND, find ANY other estate agency, not Dexters. They wouldn't know what decency is if it stared them in the face.
Updated to 1 star from 5. Dexters block management is appalling. I recommend avoiding dexters at all cost if you’re considering renting
Absolutely terrible experience with Dexters. I have been dealing with an issue for over half a month, and absolutely no one has stepped up to help resolve it. Every time I reach out, I just get brushed off with generic, unhelpful excuses. …
