Would not recommend them and the use of ASAP as a third party company to monitor the sales process was not helpful.

Hi Philip, thanks for the feedback. It seems you were happy with the service? Is there any way we can improve? You only seem to have given us 2/5 stars?

We saw a few places in and around Leytonstone with James. We found him to be generally uninterested and dismissive, even when we made offers. Put us off looking at anymore properties with Theydons

Thank you for your feedback. However, we're a little puzzled by your review. The only information shown on your Google profile is the initials "M.H", and James has not been employed by Theydons for over 18 months. As a result, we're unable to identify or verify the circumstances you've described. Kind regards, The Theydons Team

Started listing our properties without our consent just using our rightmove listings and photos. Causing us to have complaints regarding tenants properties being listed.

I feel very upset and let down by my experience with Karl Tatler Prenton during the sale of my late mum’s home. I fully understand that, as I am not the executor, they must deal directly with the solicitor. However, that does not justify the lack of basic kindness, empathy, and respect — especially at such a difficult time and given my visual impairment. This has been an emotional process, yet I have felt ignored throughout. On one occasion, a staff member attempted to let themselves in without knocking and without any notice, despite it being obvious I was inside for a few minutes sorting through things as my trainers and white cane were outside the front door. This was entirely inappropriate and unacceptable. More recently, I was extremely distressed to learn that the buyer appears to have been given access before completion, with people already inside carrying out alterations. This is my late mum’s home, and it’s not how I wanted things to end. Overall, this has been handled with a lack of care, compassion, and professionalism. I would not recommend this office.

This was, without question, the worst letting experience I have had. I was ultimately forced to escalate my complaint to The Property Ombudsman. The outcome was clear: my complaint was upheld in full and £600 compensation was awarded for multiple service failures. The findings included: Being left without heating and hot water for an unreasonable period A serious and ongoing water leak through a live electrical light fitting in the kitchen A prolonged failure to resolve this issue, meaning I effectively could not use water for months without it leaking through the light fitting Repeated failures to communicate, with responses typically only provided after persistent chasing No evidence of proper record-keeping, oversight, or management of repairs The property not being provided in an acceptable condition at move-in To be clear, this was not a minor issue. Water was coming through a live electrical fitting whenever the water system was used. This continued over an extended period and was not treated with the urgency or seriousness it required. The Ombudsman specifically found that these failings caused avoidable inconvenience, distress, and disruption, and that the service provided fell below the standards required under the Lettings Code of Practice. What is most telling is that these issues were raised repeatedly at the time but were not properly addressed. It took formal escalation to an independent body to achieve a resolution. Compensation has now been paid, but that does not change the experience. If you deal with this agency, document everything and be prepared to escalate. The outcome speaks for itself

We want to respond to a few points for the benefit of anyone reading this. Throughout your tenancy, every issue raised was responded to and actioned. Contractors were instructed promptly, alternative heating was provided during the boiler fault, and a rental reduction was agreed to compensate for the disruption caused. Additional compensation was also offered and accepted. The Property Ombudsman reviewed the matter and made an award of £600, which related to inconvenience rather than any failure to act. We accepted that outcome and consider the matter closed.

Very disappointing experience with EweMove Blackheath. I chose their most expensive package and even paid extra for photos, but the pictures were poor and the listing was published with very few photos and missing important information. Despite charging 15% of the monthly rent, they only arranged a few viewings in two months and failed to rent the property. During a viewing they also broke my balcony door and, although they agreed to pay, they later told me I’d have to wait two weeks until they return from holidays. After ending the agreement, I listed the flat myself on OpenRent and found a tenant in just 3 days. Very expensive service with very poor results. I would not recommend them.
