We received a letter from Sawyer & Co, alerting us to the possibility of selling the land to the side of our house for development. It is something that we had already considered and had approached another estate agent previously. With the other agent it appeared that we were expected to do all the work in an area in which we were not familiar, whereupon the agent would step in at the end and take their commission. How different things were with Sawyer & Co. The whole team and Matt in particular were brilliant from start to finish. They worked relentlessly to make it all happen. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when we kept changing our minds about what we wanted to do. They definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. With their guidance and assistance, we ended up selling the plot of land to developers, which included the refurbishment of the existing property (currently let to the developer) and also our father's property, to enable us all to relocate to the country and a property with an annexe for the father. I honestly do not think we would have achieved all of this without Matt's help. We would not consider using anyone other than Sawyer & Co to manage the letting of our property once the developer has finished with it and I would recommend them to anyone."

My partner and I are moving from London to Brighton and we had no idea how competitive flat hunting was. After six weeks of looking we started to panic- flats were being let after the first lot of viewings. We had multiple holding deposits sent back after tenants decided to squat, or landlords choosing to sell rather than let… it got so bad that we had to set up daily alerts on Rightmove, Zoopla etc just to have a shot at securing a place for us. Each viewing took four hours out of our day to travel there and back in between work. I’m so relieved that we found a place now, in no small part due to Grace Trathan at Sawyer and Co. She really helped us to get in and see properties as and when we could, and without her we wouldn’t have found somewhere to live.
