Poor after sales experience. We didn’t receive any updates on our sale from March until July. Then suddenly we were told that our buyer was proposing an exchange date two weeks later. We ended up having to put our belongings in storage while we waited to complete on our onward purchase. This agent was working for the buyer rather than the seller. One day after completion the property was up for rent through Balgores. I do not recommend either buying or selling through this agent.
Having read the reviews of this estate agent I was feeling quite hopeful to find a good agency during what is feeling like a battle to differentiate professional, well managed agencies from the pushy, sales orientated agents who seem to be flooding the market. I can’t actually comment on what it’s like to get near the actual agents as they have deployed a guard to man the phones that behaves like a bouncer. I found a property on RightMove, advertised at my budget, and called to make an appointment. My details were taken, and the lady was very nice until… she asked what my maximum budget is. I told her (the budget was as the price advertised…), and she replied “oh no that won’t work, the guide price is £75k more”. Feeling a bit confused as to why it was advertised at such a lower price, I asked why. What I expected was an explanation, maybe that it was in error, but instead I received a rude attitude, a patronising tone and was informed “for those that do have extra cash, but are wanting to buy in a certain bracket, but could stretch upwards”. Disappointing to see such an established agent behave so manipulatively. It simply came across that you are attempting to mislead people and the agency doesn’t actually know what the price valuation of the property is. If they did, surely they’d guide their clients correctly to a much smaller range (sellers and buyers) as opposed to providing a £75k “wiggle room”. I personally wouldn’t recommend this agent as it stands.
BOBBI SCOTT. Vile woman. Left a tenant without a heater in the bedroom for over 7 months!! It took for me to email Daniel Hanks and Martin Gibbon to get something done. However, how ironically, it has taken Bobbi Scott over 10 months to get a quote (via photos and not even a visit) for mould. If this is what you call customer service then you need a reality check. It's been months, and I'm still trying to get hold of my deposit. No communication whatsoever. The only thing I haven't done is walk into their office and demand my money back. Called multiple times throughout the day to book a viewing (almost every 20-30 minutes) and the two times that I managed to get through to someone, they hung up on me when I asked to book a viewing (I wasn’t rude at all btw). We weren’t able to book a viewing at all and missed out on the property
