I would like to thank Avril and Grant for their help with my recent purchase, I know they were selling the property and get their commission from the sale but I felt that they gave me impartial advice when needed and were open and upfront about various issues outside of their control to do with the purchase. On the odd occasion when Avril or Grant were not available Sue and Lisa from the team were able to help with any query I had. Also the aftercare, since moving in to our new house we have had a few things to sort out and Avril seemed only to happy to go that extra mile. I would have no hesitation in recommending Richard James Estate Agents.

Grant O'Donohue and his staff at Richard James were extremely businesslike in negotiation and execution of selling our property. Grant arranged 10 viewings within the first week and after 8 days we had accepted an offer above the asking price. This was during the time that The Times had announced a slump in the property market. The selling experience was excellent from start to finish and I would unhesitatingly recommend their services.

Couldn't have wished for a more smooth transaction at this end of the chain with huge thanks to Avril's brilliant communication. Really good team who worked hard to secure our sale and purchase. They also have someone who chases up and down the chain to check on progress and send out an update every week. This could be even better if they had a form to give to solicitors asking them to keep the estate agents updated with progress. I have found out that the legal profession does not believe it is their responsibility to keep people in the chain informed of progress. Great job, guys!

Richard James showed no incompetence or particular disregard however the process was not made easier by them, and frequently we felt very badgered by Richard James, and their supporting advice was poor. Whilst we would not urge anyone to avoid their service in particular we would not recommend them either.
