Overall, White & Guard have been extremely helpful during the whole letting process.
Really disappointed in White and Guard, I signed up for 6 weeks and viewings were poor. Only three viewings in 6 weeks. I have now changed agent and had more viewings booked in one day than the whole if the 6 weeks with White and Guard. As with all agents, you have to give 30 days notice to get out of the contract, so this was put in early. I just feel that they didn't bother pushing my property after that. I think I was sold by their glossy brochure and talk of an open day, however don't be fooled, people view online these days. I thought the online pictures were OK until I saw what my new estate agent produced. The different is night and day. (They used a fantastic AI camera). Nice people, but sadly they were unable to get people through the door.
Sold our property after the first two buyers pulled out. However, poor communication, not great in responding in a timely manner. Couldn't reach the person who was meant to be chasing the chain as working from home and wouldn't give her phone number out, so was asked to email. Which I did but again response wasn't in a timely manner. I didn't know what was happening with our sale until I phoned the branch explaining that other estate agents linked in to the chain were more informative than them, they then made contact but still not as efficient as they should be considering the fee they charge. Definitely won't use again as just a typical estate agent nothing bespoke. Couldn't be more helpful when they did our market appraisal!!! The whole experience has been the most stressful annoying experience and it was really unnecessary. White and Guard - communication is the key !! Continuaty was appalling. Fox and Sons Bitterne, Enfields in Bitterne and Marco Harris were all absolutely amazing. Shame on you White and Guard.NegativeResponsiveness, Value
Tried renting a property with White And Guard and was treated terribly. Wouldn’t listen to either mine or my partners questions, nothing was explained to us in a kind manner and overall unhappy with this company, will not be using again. Refused to give our deposit back and staff were very rude
For the next customers of this agency: be very careful. In case something happens and you need to leave your rent early, they DO EARLY LEAVING FEES WHICH ARE £600!!!! … More
For the next customers of this agency: be very careful. In case something happens and you need to leave your rent early, they DO EARLY LEAVING FEES WHICH ARE £600!!!! Imagine you need to move out for an emergency and beside new rent and deposit, consider putting 600 pounds in the pockets of this company that can't care less about tenants. Our contract was supposed to end in september 2025, we had to move out in december 2024 and we ended up losing about £700 with this agency. Thanks for nothing!! You caused us the bigges stress of our life!!

My partner and I personally wouldn’t recommend using White and Guard. We recently listed my partner’s property with them. Having previously used them to buy and sell houses in the past as well as let houses (my partner even sold one of his old rentals to a White and Guard staff member) it seemed like a no brainer to use them again. Sadly it looks like things have gone down hill on the customer care side. Our property hadn’t got any viewings in a couple of months (no blame on the agents there) so we decided to take it off the market until things pick up and we can also make some changes to our home to make it more attractive to a broader pool of buyers. When we emailed the chief guy there he ignored our emails and nobody actually sent us any proper communication following that, we just got two people calling to book viewings (clearly ignoring the emails) and then eventually an automated email saying the property had been taken off the market. I had to email again to request the keys back after weeks of nothing. The keys were put through our door but again no communication from W&G. So weird and cringey customer care and completely ruined what had been a very pleasant experience with them. We will now not list future property sales with them, they’re all about getting your property listed, but if circumstances change for you they don’t want to know and won’t even bother with a “no problem, if we can help again in the future please get in touch”email. Terrible customer service approach… shame it’s gone downhill.
