Evicted over Christmas and new years under a landlords lie. Informed the landlord was selling the property due to rising tax costs, then to see the property back up for rent at a higher price. Check out was waived as the property was being redeveloped. Then to recieve emails 2 months later demanding more money to remove rubbish at the property that wasn't ours. To see the house listed empty and tidy this was an attempt of the landlord to make more money from us. The photos were also new as they had our lampshades and curtains present, and the property was spotless with no rubbish left. The property doesn't have the correct HMO license for the amount of tenants. Boiler was broken the entire time and they wouldn't install a new one, simply paid the cheapest option to have a power flush... which did nothing. Temperatures below the liveable temp, 2 bedrooms located within these dangerous living conditions Due to leaving our tenancy early under a lie. We had to pay extra for cancelling subscriptions
Update: LANDLORDS BEWARE. Appalling, negligent company. In recent news, my property has suffered a leak and this has broken all overhead lighting. Tenants have been complaining to the agency for several weeks and I have only been made aware as the tenants managed to contact me directly after getting my number from a neighbour. The manager's response to my review below is inaccurate and misleading. Stuart has not taken responsibility for his firm's ongoing negligence. The agency have consistently neglected to communicate damage to my property, and neglected to rectify damage. I have also found out there was a leak in summer 2023 I was never made aware of – the hallway has been an eyesore ever since, with the tenants requests for action being ignored. Further, the agency also let the tenancy agreement lapse for a period before renewning, posting great risk to myself. Abysmal. - As a landlord, I am having a terrible experience using Daisy Lets for property management on my tenanted flat. The property manager goes weeks and sometimes months before replying to emails – which need to be chased. This has been the case for several years. Inspections happen months late, and not as frequently as advertised. They sent my tenants a contract with the monthly rent listed as £0 – until I flagged this error. I have also recently received a circa £1k invoice for boarding up a window (which should be an approx £150 job) – when no quote was shared. The pm threatened via email to – illegally – dock this from the next month's rental payment. The director called me 5 days ago and promised to put a different property manager onto my account, however I've received zero contact from the agency since. Meanwhile, I believe my tenants are experiencing ongoing issues and I have no peace of mind that these have been – or are being – resolved. I have attempted to make contact with the director multiple times, however there is only a centralised answering service in place and I can only assume messages are being ignored and/or intercepted. The receptionists on the answering service have advised this is likely the case. I am at my wit's end and if this situation isn't turned around soon I will need to make a formal complaint to the ombudsman.
Absolute hell trying to get my money back from my deposit. No answer from the agency or the landlord. Extremely unhelpful and upsetting.
