Update: LANDLORDS BEWARE. Appalling, negligent company. In recent news, my property has suffered a leak and this has broken all overhead lighting. Tenants have been complaining to the agency for several weeks and I have only been made aware as the tenants managed to contact me directly after getting my number from a neighbour. The manager's response to my review below is inaccurate and misleading. Stuart has not taken responsibility for his firm's ongoing negligence. The agency have consistently neglected to communicate damage to my property, and neglected to rectify damage. I have also found out there was a leak in summer 2023 I was never made aware of – the hallway has been an eyesore ever since, with the tenants requests for action being ignored. Further, the agency also let the tenancy agreement lapse for a period before renewning, posting great risk to myself. Abysmal. - As a landlord, I am having a terrible experience using Daisy Lets for property management on my tenanted flat. The property manager goes weeks and sometimes months before replying to emails – which need to be chased. This has been the case for several years. Inspections happen months late, and not as frequently as advertised. They sent my tenants a contract with the monthly rent listed as £0 – until I flagged this error. I have also recently received a circa £1k invoice for boarding up a window (which should be an approx £150 job) – when no quote was shared. The pm threatened via email to – illegally – dock this from the next month's rental payment. The director called me 5 days ago and promised to put a different property manager onto my account, however I've received zero contact from the agency since. Meanwhile, I believe my tenants are experiencing ongoing issues and I have no peace of mind that these have been – or are being – resolved. I have attempted to make contact with the director multiple times, however there is only a centralised answering service in place and I can only assume messages are being ignored and/or intercepted. The receptionists on the answering service have advised this is likely the case. I am at my wit's end and if this situation isn't turned around soon I will need to make a formal complaint to the ombudsman.
Absolute hell trying to get my money back from my deposit. No answer from the agency or the landlord. Extremely unhelpful and upsetting.
Consistently poor service throughout. Edit: The comment left on this review by Daisylets is not related to my decision to leave a one star review. There were several inexcusable failings on the part of Daisylets at the end of my tenancy.
I have booked and confirmed a viewing with Rebecca, and no one has shown up. We rushed from work to see a property, we got very wet on a very cold and rainy weather. No one showed up, I tried to contact her with no luck or answer.
Not serious about getting houses off the market. I had received an email after enquiring about a viewing. I received a second email cancelling the first date I was meant to attend. Viewing was rescheduled 12 days later with time. On the day I had even called to confirm if the agent was still attending or even remembered. Apparently they couldn’t find my name or email when I gave details, screenshots, names, times & dates. Agent still agreed to proceed to meet for viewing but never turned up, I didn’t get a phone call and the office phone was ringing out when I rang. Complete waste of time and travel. Costs.
We let our property through Daisylets. They are the worst agents we have encountered. The tenants kept all kinds of animals in the house and garden (snakes, meerkats, mice and dogs). Daisylets were supposed to visit the property regularly to ensure the house was taken good care of by the tenants. Unfortunately, they only visited once in 6 years. These dodgy tenants have now left and the property was left in a very bad condition. They left their belongings that they did not want in the property: dirty clothes in a wardrobe, dirty buckets on top of the shed, The attic is completely filled with cages of different sizes. Furthermore, the doors of the rooms upstairs were painted black. Some doors downstairs were missing. The carpets were full of animal urine. Just to name a few... It has been absolute hell to get some money (at least the amount of tenants' deposit) to get the house cleaned and throw their rubbish in a skip. In the end we did not even get the whole amount of the deposit. We would never recommend this estate agent to anyone. They may seem friendly and helpful at the beginning but not later on...
Avoid this agency as tenant/landlord for lettings. Had them as a tenant for 10 years. They will do as little as possible going to the extend to ignore emails and calls. - When leaving the property, II had to send 15 emails over 2 months to retrieve the money that they owed me (and this wasn't even the deposit). They replied maybe to 1 email out of 3 at best. - They sent electricians with no notification and gave them the keys which they used in an early morning, in a middle of covid restrictions on top of that. When nicely asking them about that by email in order to understand, of course Daisylets just ignored the conversation - They now have a third party call center which mean you can get them over the phone unless they feel like calling you back - The list is long.. I am not sure how cost effective they are but as landlord, avoid them anyways! As tenant, if you are stuck with them, my advice is to develop a relationship with the landlord in case your issue become too critical. (note that I posted my previous comment with the wrong account and had to remove and repost it.. please do not hesitate to post back your answer which I will be pleased to answer..)NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
Absolutely terrible. They bullied my tenant (she was in tears after one phone call from their agent), email after email goes unanswered and you are really left wondering what on earth they do to deserve payment. They didn't even tell me that the tenant's contract had expired. They paid a contractor to undertake works on the property and then did pretty much nothing to hold the contractor accountable for the works. I'm now in dispute to get my money back since the contractor has not carried out the works that Daisy Lets paid them and am getting next to no support from this unprofessional bunch.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Avoid at all costs. Single worst agents I have experienced in London and I thought I had seen bad professionals previously. We should have known from day 1 when we moved into a property where previous tenants were told they had to move out the following week - Daisy Lets had messed up the dates in communication. They charged us hundreds of pounds of illegal fees for changes in the contracts (legally capped at £50 for tenants). I would raise a complaint with the property ombudsman now we've moved out but actually can't find them listed there..?! The dodginess is endless. Wasted so many hours trying to communicate with them and ended up moving out of a house that was perfectly fine simply because none of us wanted to continue dealing with the estate agents.
Absolute disgrace of an agency. Avoid at all costs to rent with them! We multiple issues in our flat that were never/badly taken care of, despite us making many complaints: mould that caused a allergic asthma, broken windows, blocked front door, broken door handles on several doors in the flat, broken water pump, water leaks to the floor downstairs... just to name a few. Our pleas to lower the rent during the first lockdown were simply ignored... oh and did I say that our deposit wasn‘t returned until 2 months after we had moved out, after they tried to blame some of issues in the flat on us? Do yourself the favour and avoid these highly unprofessional people. Btw @ Daisy’s, saying „I‘m sorry you feel this way“ is not how you take accountability or apologise to someone...
