Me and my wife arranged a viewing on a flat with this company. They then cancelled 20 mins before the viewing by which time we had arrived at the property. Very unprofessional. The secretary we spoke to was also disrespectful and couldn't care less.

HI Steven, I am really sorry we had to cancel, but we had a successful application and the funds arrived in the bank this morning for the deposit. We called as soon as we could to let you know that the viewing could not go ahead as that is the agreement we make with applicants whilst their application is being processed. I do realise this caused you inconvenience but I don't see what choice there was for us here and so I feel that 1 star is extremely harsh. There would have been no point in going ahead with the viewing knowing the property had gone, that would have been a further waste of your time. I will speak to the member of staff you spoke to, I apologise if their manner was not how you expected it to be. We do care of course and understand that you have been inconvenienced but there was no choice in this circumstance. We have other one bedroom properties coming up and I will contact you directly to see if there is anything suitable for you.

I don’t really even know where to begin with this - there were too many moments of madness that I could spend a while essaying here. But I’m not going to give my time to that. All I can say is that if you wish to preserve your sanity/any semblance of reality I would strongly suggest not using this agency. But I suppose for those in the market for questioning the foundations of common sense, Arden is the perfect fit for you.

Awful company who only want to get as much money from tenants as possible. We wanted to swap out one of our people on our 3 person Tenancy, they forced us end one tenancy agreement and to fully move out for 1 week, took money from our first deposit despite the fact we had the flat professionally cleaned, and then, as it was a "new" contract, they hiked the rent far above the 3% cap allowed yearly on a continuing contract. Would not recommend as a tenant or if you are a landlord who cares about their tenants.

Hi George, I am really sorry that you feel you have received poor service from us. We explained fully all of the circumstances around a new tenancy prior to you agreeing and you were happy to go ahead. We do not do tenant change overs as rule because there are always issues with the deposit and someone is left unhappy. It is fairest to end one tenancy and start another. The rent was set for the new tenancy before you chose to go ahead, there was no obligation to do so and the rent for the new tenancy was less than the current market value of the property. The only costs deducted form your deposit were genuine cleaning charges as the property had to be cleaned to a professional standard. If you used a company then you should have recouped these costs from them as they had not done a thorough job and I am sorry that you were left out of pocket. We actively try to help tenants get all of their deposits back by supplying cleaning check lists and numbers for cleaning companies we use, so that if they miss something then we can recall them on your behalf. It is very unfair to say that we do not care about our tenants that simply is not true and in fact in this circumstance the Landlord wanted to refurbish the flat but you were extremely keen to stay on and so those plans were put on hold to accommodate you and your flatmates. We do not deserve this one star review.

Awful management and support! The apartment I rent has for the last !2 years! issue with the boiler leaving me without heating or warm water, even during winter months, and my personal stuff have been destroyed due to boiler leaking. They keep sending contractors but non of them has properly fixed the issue and the agency is not serious enough to properly get the job done even if I have multiple times explained the issue and I pay my rent.

HI Anna,, this review is really unfair. There have been several issues with the boiler agreed but we have attended to these ASAP on each occasion. I suspect that the real you have written this review not because of the boiler but because we have asked you to move your car from in front of the Landlord's garage and you were unhappy about this. We are a professional agency and have always been responsive in getting any issues in the property sorted out, it is unfortunate that there is another issue with the boiler but this does not make us a terrible agent.
