Very rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. If you can avoid.
They have rented us property in croydon without a washing machine and its over 20 days i have been calling and emailing them even escalated to the senoir members of the Croydon central branch but no one bothered to call or write back to us to update that if they are doing anything at all, feels like dealing with dead people. VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Absolutely terrible. Firstly when calling up to enquire about a lettings property the person I spoke to didn't know the specifications of a HMO, I would suggest giving some training in this area. Upon arriving at the property, listed as a 3 bed on Rightmove, I was greeted by the owner and not an agent, which I was not expecting, who informed me that the property was actually only a 2 bed rather than the advertised 3 bed. She also proceeded to tell me that I was the 3rd viewer today who had turned up expecting a 3 bedroom property and been sorely disappointed and that the agent had given out the wrong address as well. I had to take an hour out of my working day to attend this viewing, to not even step foot in the property due to this incompetence on Streets Aheads' part. Not impressed at all.
Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness I would not recommend Streets Ahead to anyone. We paid a holding deposit for a house in Croydon through Rayaan and he gave the house to someone else and kept lying to us that the owner is out of town and the that the tenants have not found a place yet. This went on for about a month. We kept calling the office but they always say he's not there and he will call us back but he never did. So a couple of days before the move in date we went over to the new house to see if the tenants are still occupying the house only to find the house empty. We then went to Streets Ahead to confront Rayaan and he started lying to us until we told him he should not bother because we have visited the house and found it vacant. Was he trying to scam us?? They eventually paid us back the holding deposit but we were very disappointed to lose the house.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
I do not recommend this estate agent if you are a seller. My flat was eventually sold, but issues I encountered: - Repeatedly entering the property for viewings using keys I had provided without knocking. This infuriated the tenants, whose simple request was that they knock first, and caused a breakdown in my relationship with them. - Using the key to permit their damp surveyors to access the property (which by this time was empty) when I had asked them to cancel this appointment. Surveyors left the ground floor window open. It was open for 2 months until I next visited the property. - Once I had accepted an offer, the mortgage lender's valuation came in lower than the price agreed. The agent repeatedly tried to force me to accept the lower price, telling me I had no choice. I refused and insisted on negotiating. In the end the buyer and I split the difference. - Agent dealing with the sale would not return my calls (unless he had something he wanted to speak to me about). For example, I called three times over the course of one week, each time leaving a message asking for a call back asap, and never heard back.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Worst experience ever
Organised viewings for two separate flats on two days via this estate agent. No show on both occasions. Difficult to get anyone on the phone to find out what happened. No callback, no apologies. Avoid.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
Unfortunately I have to echo the thoughts of the previous reviewer, how on Earth they get positive reviews is beyond me. Had a awful experience with the Croydon branch. Completely non responsive and almost criminal in some of their behaviours.
