Theives trying to charge me for work that was never carried out and things that were returned in the same state as I moved in almost 5 years ago repairs were put off until I moved out avoid at all costs they should wear masks and stripped jumpers for uniforms
Extremely poor!
Martin and Co have massive rip off fees. Vicky is a rude lady, although she needs to be affirmative shes comes across very rude. Unprofessional, unacceptable experience, I will never use Martin and Co again
Hate giving bad reviews, because one person can bring down a whole team. With the exception of this time. Applied for info on a house, was called straight away, from a very pleasant, eager guy who within a couple of mins on the phone asked me to make a payment to apply for the house and hold it. I done so later that day after speaking with my partner. Having informing them of a move in date as we were moving over from Ireland!!!!! Having done so I waited 4 days and phoned to see what was going on, was told the apication was still being processed and they would be in touch. Another 3 days passed, still no contact from them so I called again! Application was still being processed.... moving forward a week( 2 weeks from we applied and paid short of a thousand pound for the house), I phoned again, and the lady( who I'm not going to name) was not available so the manager said he would look into it and get back to me by the end of the day! Didnt get a phone call back. I then had to phone back again and he told me he couldnt deal with it ,it had to be the lady who was "looking after us". (Lovely service from a manager, who may I add took the payment in the1st place). Over the next 5 days I phone daily, if not twice a day to speak with different people who all made promises to phone me back and out of 4 of them only 1 did, to again say it was out of her hands. 3 weeks down the line and over 22 phone calls and 1 call back, the person I dealt with finally was in the office and answeed the phone, to tell me she had taken 4 days holiday which is why she hadnt been in touch!!!!! And that the house was going through a damp course and she needed to speak with the landlord to see when it would be done . She then 2 days later said yea it's fine to move in, the work will be done. At this stage I told her we were booking to move two cars and all our belongings over and she said that was fine( this cost hundreds of pounds). Bearing in mind we were mean to move in in less than a week at this time. Then another 2 days of phone calls with no answers( only thing I ever heard was "I need to speak to the landlord"). Then to top it off FINALLY she called me to ask if me and my partner would be willing to live upstairs while the work went on, anywhere upto 2 weeks!!!!! No kitchen to cook, store food, do washing etc! We have a dog so what were we suppose to do with it?! And when we refused she said all she could do was give us a refund back! Not even a suggestion of an apology came from anyone's mouth! Would love to go into more detail, but that about covers the basics of the service I got. Either the lady we dealt with was at the severe end of the lazy spectrum, or needs to go back into training in how to do her job !!!
Avoid. Lots of fees. Room was dirty while I was moving in (Yet I got charged £35 for cleaning when I moved out!). Got laughed at when I reported (for the second time) that the fire alarm didn't work and was told it's my and my housemates responsibility. Also please notice how all the positive reviews are written at the same time by accounts that only have 1 review each.
Was awful house had damp init, also they say you done things to the house you have not BECAREFULL MONEY GRABBERS!!! Amir the staff member said we could paint also on the contract and we wasnt and got charged for that. The bath was leaking in to the kitchen light downstairs. The carpet was a mess so when moved in and requested a new one thwy agreed but got some with glue glue it back its redicoulous it really is. Unless you have money to waste dont go near
Such an unprofessional company,no respect for tenants nor to their concerns. The problems started happening the day 1 I moved into the property and its taking ages to rectify them.Wont suggest this agency to anyone.
I contacted them by e mail a couple of weeks ago regarding a specific property and followed it up with 2 phone calls. As yet I have received no response and have now found a property with another agent. The property I contacted them about is still available!!!!!!!!!!!!
We rent the property and 6 months later we escaped. The worst property management I have ever seen; * they never sent contractor to fix the boiler during December and January. That's why we got cold. * even my wife was sleeping due to sickness , they forced us to show the property new tenants. * when we were in property, they used their own keys to get in the property without our confirmation. * after 6 months tenancy agreement, they deducted 500 quid from our deposit and they invoiced us all the problems, which were not our fault. when I offered to investigate the problems, they ignored me and did not let me in the property.
Nothing but mither from day one. They failed to ensure the house was ready to move in on the day leaving me and two children with a dangerous floor. Then the boiler started leaking and cutting off was told need a new one something they wouldn't do, just repairing it and it would go again and again. A number of repairs reported none fixed, including damp of the boiler that cost a fortune as it's a water meter! Had to move out because of faults, when you move in pay deposit and months rent in advance (so last month is paied for) now saying that's not the case and I owe another months rent!! Terrible service and I will be seeking legal advice. No one rent from these... no wonder the office windows are always being smashed.
