I have been dealing mainly with Matthew Samples and to a lesser degree Jack Pollock. I contacted Martin & Co to sell a house for us that was had been a rental property for a number of years, and many miles from where we live. They were the first agents to actually return my calls and their service has been excellent, Matthew Samples had given me his personal mobile number and nothing was too much trouble. When one of the prospective buyers mentioned there were cracks in the plaster, Jack very kindly went to the property and took photographs and within the space of a couple of hours sent them to us so we could assess the way forwards. Matthew then went and got local quotes and nothing was too much trouble. Even after a sale was agreed, due to COVID, the buyers solicitor wasnt answering our solicitors calls, so Matthew got involved and within a short space of time the problem was resolved. I highly recommend Martin & Co and if we had another house to sell in the area i wouldnt hesitate to use them. I would recommend this company 100%PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
Asked when they were going to tidy up the outside of property on King Richards Hill Whitwick. Letting property that tenants left at Easter. It as rubbish in the garden, and behind garage and at front. Garden's also needs sorting out. We are waiting for this to happen still, having been told by owners it would be done some time ago. Concerned about what's in rubbish, will this attract vermin, it needs sorting before there are problems! Please sort asp Thank you.
Sold our house and then rented back for couple of months until new house ready, at point of sale and start of tenatcy no inventory was carried out, upon moving out martin and co then atarted charging us for work and cleaning that was due to instances before sale and hence nothing to do with tenactcy. Poor communication between both us and with their client (landlord), and even between fifferent people within their branch. In my opion very poor do not use
I’ve been waiting since February 2025 for a refund of £825 due to a rent overpayment for a property I vacated in January. After multiple emails and follow-ups, I was told my refund is being withheld because a new tenant hasn’t completed their paperwork something entirely unrelated to me. I have had no access to the property since January, yet Martin & Co responded to this review by stating I “will not be released” from the tenancy until the new paperwork is done. This is despite the fact that I’ve been gone for over five months, and they’ve been fully aware of this all along. I consider this unacceptable. I paid more than I owed, I left the property months ago, and I’ve made every effort to resolve this directly. I will update or remove this review only once the refund has been processed.
Absolutely disgusting of a company who continue claiming my ex-partner (who has just made a review on here and been asked to remove it) needs to "complete all documents" to be released from a tenancy with myself. To make it clear this was a new agreement I was asked to sign which I did. We lived together in the property for over 5 years until we split up and we had pay a deposit at the start of the tenancy that they still have. Before I signed the agreement I confirmed I wouldn't have to pay another deposit which they confirmed and so I signed it. Meanwhile, Wilson who forgot to cancel the direct debit paid a month's rent still when already out of the property, a month rent who I also paid. They continue to hold that extra rent payment claiming that I have to pay a £300 deposit before they can reimburse Wilson, bare in mind his payment has nothing to do with my tenancy in the property. They leave us with no option but to take legal action together against the company. A company who also called me asking me to take my review down which I would have done if Wilson had been paid the money they owe him (£825) which is still not the case since January!
Called them up 2 weeks a go to book a viewing for a property. All booked and set for Thursday..... Came to Thursday and I thought I would call just to confirm as I was travelling over an hour to see. I got through and was told sorry, the property has now been sold.... 1 I wasn't made aware of this so would have wasted money and time to drive. 2 They didn't sound like they gave 2 hoots and just put the phone down on me. 3. The house is still on the market now. This company are clearly unprofessional and don't care. The fact that this person has trusted them to sell their house and they are fobbing off buyers.
