My sister and I had the sad task of selling our family home, which had been our parents house for almost 40 years. Great quality service and a higher price than we had hoped for. My sister and I were looking to sell our family home after we inherited it from our parents and rented it out for a few years. Our father bought the house fifty years ago and it was our only family home so it meant a lot to us to sell it as well as we could. We needed an agent who understood this and would guide us through the process. We received good advice about preparing the house for sale and the best way to market it. The emphasis was on understanding the house's appeal and the quality of marketing instead of how quickly we could get the house on the market or going for the highest possible price. The team did lots of viewings with many interested parties which was greatly apprecaited. This led to us achieving a higher overall price as we had a few offers well over the guide price which moved us on to final offers. We feel we did a good job selling a home we care a lot about and we were very happy with the price. All the team at Archer and Co were very helpful and responsive. Archer and Co can cost more than other estate agents but for the quality of service and for marketing which may get you a higher price overall we would definitely recommend them.

Okay so unusual times! At the beginning of the (first) lockdown, I had made a decision to sell and move to Scotland. Alex from Archer & Co responded extremely quickly to my email contact in April, calls to another significant Agent in Chepstow went unanswered... fortunately my first choice had been Archer & Co having known them previously as a trusted and effective Estate Agent. Over the next few weeks Alex was in frequent contact to understand what I was trying to achieve, and how that worked with my plans to move up north. Alex and his team formulated a strategy to sell my house. and prepared to do so as soon as it was feasible - and whilst waiting for the restrictions to ease, gave me great advice on preparing the house for sale - such as the importance of a dedicated Office, allowing me to completely refurbish my existing office. We discussed and agreed the sale price and how Archer would approach the sale, rather than aiming for a fixed price, or 'offers above' the way forward was very simple. The Photography and Archer team were mobilised to get the details ready for the marketing launch, and were made in advance of the restrictions on House Sales being lifted, and in full compliance with the new ways of working. Viewings were managed extremely well by the Archer team and I was always kept updated. Then the offers came in ... again, great communication from the Archer team on progress and then how to close and secure the best and viable offer - it worked! Sale in super quick time, with a sale price above my expectations. My wife and I wanted to appoint an experienced local estate agent who would take the lead in all aspects of selling our property, who whould give sound advice but also respect and act on our preferences. We were less concerned about price than about thoroughness and professionalism. We definitely made the right decision when we chose Archers. Selling this property proved to be more complicated than any other sale we have made in the past (we have moved many times), mainly due to buyers being affected by anxiety about Covid.
