Avoid this agency at all costs. This has been the most frustrating, stressful, and infuriating experience I’ve ever had with a letting agency. From the start, their behaviour was riddled with red flags. They blatantly misrepresented the flat in their listing outdated photos, incorrect details, and when I viewed the place, it was in nowhere near the condition advertised. Despite raising concerns, they were dismissive, patronizing, and completely unhelpful. Once I moved in, the real nightmare began. Maintenance issues went ignored for weeks. Repeated emails and phone calls were either met with empty promises or completely ignored. They seem to have mastered the art of ghosting tenants as soon as the deposit clears. Speaking of deposits good luck getting yours back. Mine was subjected to utterly fabricated charges. When I requested evidence or a breakdown, I was met with vague replies and aggressive pushback. It’s clear they rely on tenants not fighting back to pocket as much as possible. Their staff are untrained, unprofessional, and in some cases outright rude. Communication is inconsistent, and any attempt to escalate concerns is stonewalled. It honestly feels like a scam operation hiding behind a thin veil of legitimacy. I wouldn’t recommend this agency to my worst enemy. If you’re reading this, save yourself the trouble and run — there are far more honest and competent agencies out there.

I rented a property from this estate agent last year, and my experience was very disappointing. The team was unprofessional and rude, with poor communication throughout my tenancy. They were dismissive of concerns and provided little support when needed. I would not recommend working with them.

I rented a property through this agency and do not recommend them. Communication was poor, and they were often unresponsive to concerns I raised. When it came time to move out, they attempted to charge me for bogus damages and tried to take my entire deposit, despite me fulfilling all my responsibilities. Their charges were unfair and unreasonable, and they did not act in good faith. I would especially not recommend dealing with Ben, as he was consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the entire process.

Not recommend this company, very bad experience, they ask all of the deposit money. The faults are from landlord or with the this agency. Beware of this agency. If you go the office will be disappointed because no one welcomes.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to your office. Upon arrival, I was not greeted properly nor asked to take a seat, which I found unprofessional. Additionally, my details were not taken correctly, and I was dismissed with a vague promise of a follow-up. It was also disheartening to hear that the property I was interested in was unavailable due to multiple bookings, a detail that was not updated on your website. This oversight resulted in unnecessary expenditure of time and money on my part. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively and that future clients will have a more positive experience.

Disgraceful letting agency run by Ben. He is rude, very unprofessional and shows no customer care. Apparently the only person who can deal with any deposit queries.

Went to view a place and registered our interest. Said it was available at the end of month (1 week time). 2 weeks later, not heard anything and when I called, they said it was still available. Called them up three times in total, twice nobody had a clue and the boss was away, then they said she'd be back Monday, so we called Monday, and they said it was still available. Shocking customer service and due to that, I'd never use their company. Just imagine living in one of their apartments and constantly talking to a brick wall.

Tenants avoid at all costs. Having experience with Northwood as a tenant and reading reviews, they may provide a good service with sales but this is definitely not the case for rental properties. Our deposit was not protected within the legal timeframe, they tried to insist we take out tenant liability insurance, provided by Northwood (of course) and even called for a quote on my behalf. Emails regarding maintenance issues went unanswered, landlord was actually an employee of the company and when we went to citizens advice due to the landlord turning up unannounced, threatening servicing notice if we didn’t agree to something, we were informed the landlord was not registered, after 18 months of us being in the property. Northwood clearly don’t carry out appropriate checks when working with landlords.

Not only did I have a terrible experience when I rented from Northwood but 3 years on I am now being contacted by a third party because Northwood have shared my details with them incorrectly saying that I have "recently moved". I haven't lived in a Northwood property for 3 years and my details are being willingly shared to third party companies. Not happy at all!NegativeProfessionalism
