Worst service ever. You phone them up to view a property and they are incapable. Usually they are huddled around the computer packed like sardines. Deffo Went downhill after Joe Nardone left. Treat your customers fairly. No broken promises stick to your word. Take a leaf out of other estate agents books.

Very helpful in viewing properties, but not when trying to buy. Did not relay information to seller and ignored queries raised about property in emails. Ignored requests for documentation. Wasted a lot of money and time.

Def not on buyers side. Like most of agencies - greedy for profit BUT without properly taking care of potential clients. Demand in Margate is definitely high but so is a need for decent estate agencies now!

They will work with whoever is giving them the biggest cut. Contracts havent been exchanged and no money recieved but they forced the tenants out of the property and gave the buyer all access to the building. Weve lost about 30 years worth of family history. The buyer offered to empty and store our loft stuff but he didnt and Miles and Barr did nothing in helping us amend contracts regarding this. Hope youve got alot of cash, otherwise youre just working with the enemy here!

Hi Charles, Thanks for your review. If I may just address your concerns, It took us a week to find yourself a buyer and just over 7 weeks to exchange and complete on the sale, which is good going bearing in mind its taking around 12-14 weeks currently. The sale exchanged and completed on the same day and therefore the new owner was legally allowed to enter the property. However, I understand this wasn’t the case and you wouldn’t allow the new owner to take possession of his property. It was agreed that the new owner was going to help you clear your last belongings inside after completion, however this wasn’t the case and he was greeted by all of your possessions still in-tact. With regards to losing some of your family history, you will have to take this up with him I’m afraid. Miles & Barr can’t take any responsibility for this. We appreciate you using Miles and Barr for the sale of the property and hope you can see that during the period of the sale we were professional and helpful throughout.

We are cash buyers who live in Plymouth. We saw a house in Margate listed by you that we liked and wished to view. Despite giving two weeks notice, we were kept in limbo with a story that it is difficult to contact the vendors to arrange viewings. As we were travelling from Plymouth to view houses in Kent, it is obviously important to have an efficient itinerary. As we had not had our viewing confirmed, I phoned the office on Monday to follow up. In fact I phoned four times. I did speak to a head office person who said that he would leave a message for the agent that I had been dealing with. He seemed to be a nice, helpful and efficient young man, just as I would expect and I have no doubt that he would have passed the message on. On Tuesday morning I waited until 10 am then tried to phone the office again. The woman who answered the telephone had the same abrupt and self-important manner that I had experienced from the agent. After waiting for a few minutes I was put through to the agent. I explained why I was calling and, without being either aggressive or rude, said that I was becoming frustrated. The agent then became very aggressive saying "I don't know why. I told you that the vendors are difficult to contact. I phoned you yesterday and told you that I haven't been able to contact them." As I said above, I had no contact with the Margate office on Monday. The agent had phoned me on the Thursday of the previous week, but not since. I suspect that the reason why we have not been able to view the house is that she put an equal effort into contacting the vendor as she did me. My summary of my contact with you is that you employ rude, self-important people who are more concerned with their self esteem than providing a service to their clients by selling houses.
