I would definitely recommend these guys if you are looking to sell your property . Yes you can place it with an estate agent online for £500 , but it's definitely worth paying the extra for the Professional and helpful service you get from Hilbery Chaplin Laindon branch. You think it's going to be easy to show and sell your house yourself , which is what you have to do if you go with one of these low cost estate agents . But it's not , you don't realise how much you over sell things when your trying to sell your own house and it's your pride and joy , almost to the point of irritating. The buyer will speak the truth about your place when your not around and your then not following them around the house like a starving puppy. These guys do it for a living , leave it to them to point out the best bits , highlight in all the right place and filter the questions your going to get asked. Once they've sold it for you , the fun starts . It took us about 18 weeks to sell our house , unless your really lucky not to , your going to have a chain to deal with . This can be a minefield and a very stressful time. You have buyers , sellers , estate agents and solicitors all with different levels of helpfulness and professionalism . Some are amazing and want it done as quick as you can and some are a nightmare. This is made all the harder with the housing market rules and regulations , which are ridiculous , your not allowed to do this , your not allowed to do that , you can't speak to anyone apart from those that are your nearest and dearest in the sale , your solicitor and your estate agent . To the extent that sometimes you could feel like your in solitary confinement . In steps CORINNE POULTON , your saviour , your ear to the ground in a world of frustration . Every Estate agent should have a CORINNE , I'm sure there are some that do . Her title is Sales Prgressor , at times she was more , she was my punch bag or my shrink . Someone you could vent your frustrations too, but more importantly someone that could contact other parties in your chain and find out what the hell was going on . Not only are there cheap estate agents now, but there are cheap solicitors too , just to help tweak the stress up a notch more . Oh and these are now called "Fee earners " not Conveyancers , they all seem to like to drag what should be a relatively straight forward transaction now we are in the 21st century , back to a time before computers , mobile phones and email. Not with CORINNE around , she would be on to them every day , trying to get that piece of information you need for your daily positive fix . It can't have been the easiest thing either, as she would have the fee earners in their nappies looking down their noses at her and have other estate agents giving her a cold shoulder , as they weren't as well organised or as fussed about what it's actually doing to their clients as she was. She really wants to help people with trying to buy and sell their way to the home they've always wanted. So in a nutshell , yep you can save money and go to Primark, but at the end of the day , pay for quality and shop at Harrods.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, our experience with Hilbery Chaplin Residential was extremely disappointing. We found a property we really wanted to rent and contacted the agency immediately. Unfortunately, communication from James was consistently slow, with long delays in responding to emails and enquiries. In a fast-moving rental market, timely communication is essential, and every day matters. Because of these delays, the property we were ready to proceed with was let to someone else. It was incredibly frustrating to lose a home simply because we couldn’t get the prompt responses needed to move the process forward. We appreciate that estate agents can be busy, but when clients are actively trying to secure a property, responsiveness should be a priority. Sadly, this was not our experience. Thankfully, we decided to work with another agency instead, where the team responded quickly, kept us updated throughout the process, and helped us secure a wonderful property without unnecessary delays. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Hilbery Chaplin Residential to anyone looking for an efficient and proactive letting agency.
