A complete waste of time trying to sell with these. Communication and follow-up have been extremely poor throughout. I specifically requested that the price of my property be reduced while we were travelling in order to encourage a quicker sale. After hearing nothing back, I checked again a month later only to find that the reduction had never even been actioned. To make matters worse, when I asked to be released from the contract just 6 days early so I could move quickly and try another estate agent, the response from staff was very defensive. They were quick to point out the “legally binding” 30-day cancellation period, despite the fact they have had the property on the market since before Christmas with very little progress. The 8 weeks I referred to was only the initial contractual agreement period, so I feel more than enough time had been given for proper communication, follow-up, and an active attempt to sell the property. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. Based on my experience, I personally would not recommend using Stephen Tew Estate Agents.

Not a good experience, i feel they have to many properties to fully care for all their customers. Our property didn't sell which isn't necessarily Tews fault, but we were never contacted by them, no updates, the agents didn't know or ask …

Seriously! How can these people be trusted when they don't even know the difference between detached and terraced!!

Poor service, incompetence and sheer bad manners.

My experience of this estate agent is that they certainly don't put customer service very high on their agenda.Despite asking them to notify us immediately a property became unavailable (because we are not local and are travelling long distance to view), they neglected to do so. It was only by a sheer fluke that I rang them to check something, and found that a property we were due to view was sold. This was such short notice it left us no time to book in another viewing with anyone.They need to realise that buyers fund their business and shouldn't be treated as disposable commodities.

Stop encouraging house sellers with this estate agent to gazump people.

Absolutely disgraceful... my brother had had an offer accepted, someone offered more and they didn’t even have the decency to give him the chance to offer again! That was it! They even said they couldn’t say what the higher offer was!
