However, when it came to recovering my security deposit. Emails aren't responded to in good time. It has been nearly a full calendar month when they have a statutory 14 days to return a deposit. I am being charged for the cleaning of communal areas, which I have never used. I never did washing at the property or cooked a meal, this will be verified but those i shared with. I also moved out 5 weeks before the others renting rooms in an HMO. How do I ensure those areas are clean when I have handed back the keys. I also informed them of my need to move out early between 2 and 3 weeks ahead of time. Asking if anything wasn't up to their standard to let me know as the contract was still running. What I had was a licence to use communal areas, and in exactly the same way if I had a driving licence but never drove, not in a million years am I accepting a speeding ticket. Guaranteed they will use a ludacrisly overpriced cleaning company also. So because of this we're now in as dispute. Bitter ending
