Through out my dealings with Charters I have dealt with Sarah, she has been brilliant at all times., her warm friendly professional personality has been invaluable when dealing with both buyers and sellers. She remarkably remembers and highlights all the detail about a property when showing buyers around. Sarah is undoubtedly an asset to Charters who I have found to be a very professional organisation who are a pleasure to deal with..
Over a protracted 9 month sale and purchase process (not the fault of Charters) Mike and his team were well aware of our needs and in drew our attention to our ultimate purchase which we would not initially considered but turned out to be just right for our circumstances..
From start to finish Mike has been a complete rock. Our house move was a seemingly complicated one but felt very easy with thanks to Mike who was there every step of the way knowing all the details. Mike dealt personally with all of our calls and queries being easily contactable. People would ask how we were looking so relaxed and coping with the stress of moving, the answer was simple - Mike!
Having had one abortive purchase, due to personal health problems, Mike was absolutely brilliant in achieving the full return of my reservation deposit. He and his colleagues worked tirelessly to find the perfect home for me, which he duly did. Having negotiated a good deal for both myself and the vendors taking all the strain out of the negotiations, this made the whole purchasing process so much easier.. Mike has been involved as the go-between well into the legal process and has been instrumental in the rapid progress forward, due in the main to his endeavours. I have been involved with the housing market for many years, and I can honestly say this is the most comprehensive and caring assistance I have received in a very long time. Thank you Mike. .
After 12-13 months of trying to sell our house we got Mike/Charters on the case and within a few weeks they had sold our property (we also bought our new property through Mike). Engaging Mike was a pleasure as he always went that extra mile and nothing was ever to much bother through a very testing time especially towards the end trying to exchange/complete. Mike was always on the end if a telephone call whether it being after working hours or at the weekend. I would thoroughly recommend Mike and Charters when selling a property and we would look at using them again if we were to move in the future.
Great experience with Justin, someone who was intent on helping us find the right house and never pressured us. Always demonstrated the right approach showing houses and listened to our needs. My only regret is that we bought a house in the end that wasn't listed with Charters!
Let's be completely real about the buying and selling process in the UK: it's certainly a world apart from the images in glossy brochures and magazines portraying the smiling couple holding aloft a shiny set of keys. In reality, obtaining those keys can involve a very convoluted emotional process with many weeks passing by wondering if you are ever going to get that house that you've fallen in love with. This process requires perseverance, optimism, nerves of steel and a huge bag of luck. It also requires an estate agent who is aware of this reality, and is there to guide you through from start to 'keys in hand'. During our seven months of 'house buyers endurance testing' Mike Marsh had been there to absorb our blows of frustration, to turn a negative into a positive and to make us laugh at times when it was the last thing on our minds! This is the essential quality of a good estate agent, not just the ability to convince you that the broom cupboard is a 3rd bedroom. And seven months down the line? ....................We're sat writing this in that house we fell in love with seven months ago.......thanks to Mike.
Mike and his staff were always very helpful, efficient and professional. He leads a good team well and we will return to Charters when the time comes.
I would like to say how helpful Mike has been through a very protracted sale of my Mothers property, he managed to walk the tightrope of negotiations between seller and buyer very well and we even had a laugh or two along the way :-) Thanks Clive
We are looking to return to the UK from overseas employment and Marion has been assisting us both face to face and virtually. She is knowledgeable and generous with this knowledge. We hope to be in a good position to initially rent, and then buy, on our return in July, and Marion's help has been invaluable.
