Paid a holding deposit on a property but didn’t sign a contract. Spoke to Ollie Payne who confirmed I would receive this deposit back as we didn’t sign a contract however it’s been over 6 weeks and I have still not received this despite numerous phone calls. Have given my bank details to numerous people on the phone with prospect and have been waiting on an email from ‘Chloe’ for weeks. Very very disappointed as I was expecting Prospect to be a reputable agency however would not recommend this to anybody.

We rented a property through Prospect (Winnersh) for 2.5yrs and obviously as a tenant you have no say in who manages your property. However I am also a landlady of 3 other properties so could also observe from the other side and felt that for the amount of money our landlord was paying them each month they did very little. We had endless problems with heating and plumbing and were often just told “phone British Gas yourselves”. For the last SIX MONTHS of our tenancy the toilet in our en-suite did not flush properly and the saga trying to get it repaired was an absolute joke. However when you are paying £30k a year in rent I think the least you can expect is a flushing toilet. On our last inspection a member of the sales team also turned up completely un-announced and told me “he was just observing as he was interested in the knowing what the rental team did”. We suspected at the time he was actually valuing the property, so no surprise when we were told a few weeks later that we were having to move out because the landlord was selling. However the fact that this man came into our home un-invited and un-announced and lied to my face shows total lack of honest and integrity. We have now been left the property for two months, we looked after it well and left it better than we found it. We know the final check up inspection was done weeks ago but Prospect are ignoring all our communication in relation to the return of our deposit, we have called and left voicemails, and emailed about it - yet zero response whilst our deposit still sits in their bank account!!! We are now renting through Sears and the improvement in service, response and communication is unbelievable. They are 100% better. Sorry but can’t recommend Prospect at all, lack of communication & service, total lack of integrity from the sales department, and their lack of honesty continues in now withholding the return of our deposit with absolutely no reason or communication.

Sadly after hearing good things about them (strange I know about an Estate agent!). I felt I had to give a bad review. Looking to rent somewhere quickly after a change of circumstances. Have contacted Prospect Wokingham on three separate occasions and their Bracknell branch on four separate occasions. This has been directly through Rightmove on separate properties. I have heard nothing from them at all. No phone call or email. I know the rental market has more people looking than properties, however no contact at all is a joke. Can’t believe I’m saying Romans have better customer service! Really poor.

Simply not trustworthy, sad that all this Covid situation made it hard to move house. Since the start I tried to act correctly, every time I question about any issues with the property they took time to answer. Then one day they decided to get the fees from my partner, by scaring her that we would be loosing the house. After long fight and having to pay for solicitor they decided to carry out the maintenance issues. No surprise again, I mention that I didn’t want to pay for renew or I would find another property. Just forgot to check last year, but I didn’t get tip that I would be paying fees. Sad that they care about people and their wishes, just get contract signs and then say what charges are involved. Terrible service, honesty stays outside the door

Extremely Poor communication and custom service. The service we received when renting with Prospect Wokingham branch was appalling & sadly we would not recommend Prospect to anyone. Too many mistakes were made, our messages were ignored, customer service was very poor and in general the staff we dealt with were unreasonable in their requests, inconsiderate to our circumstances which as a result made the whole process of moving unpleasant, stressful and very costly. It has been a nightmare to deal with Prospect, especially Julie J and Chloe H from the day we gave our notice and we would definitely not recommend the company nor rent a property through Prospect ever again.

I just wanted to say a big well done to you and your team. Not only did you manage to not sell a house, you then annoyed your customer who then didn’t want to use your services, but you weren’t finished there. Then by trying to gain commission for the sale to a different estate agent you now managed to incredibly annoy myself and my wife by stopping our sale as the customer doesn’t want to go forward with us. And what did you end up with??? F##k all!!! except 2 very disgruntled potential customers as we are now looking for another house. So again especially to management who clearly are useless, thank-you for being so stupid and shortsighted I can’t wait to tell whoever will listen about the estate agent reinforcing their stereotypes about being cockroaches and do anything for money.

We understand that our Wokingham Manager, Daniel White, has attempted to contact you regarding this. We apologise that you are frustrated. At the time of you placing an offer to purchase the property in reference it was not acceptable to the owners, upon them changing estate agents and reducing their price heavily you reinstated your offer through the new agent who were also in receipt of another offer of similar value. As per our contractual agreement with the owners if you were to purchase the property we would be due our agreed fee as we initially introduced you to the property. After speaking with the owner it is our understanding they opted to proceed with the alternative offer which is out of our control.
