Having moved 6 times during the last 25yrs, we have a fair amount of experience in dealing with the various aspects of moving house. Our first 3 homes we sold through high street agents with the next sold privately and our last sold through an online agency, whilst carrying out all the viewings ourselves. Our experience with the high street was not great, hence the change of direction. When we decided to sell our current home, we initially tried a high street agent and an online agency, trying to keep the costs low, with very poor results. We finally decided to try a more upmarket high street agent, accepting the higher fees, in the expectation that they would provide a better selling experience, and chose Breckon & Breckon. From the moment John Bouwer came to appraise our house and explain to us what to expect from their service, we knew we had made the right choice. The marketing package created was first class with some fabulous photos by Georgia and a very interesting and detailed description of the property created by Julia. For the first time ever, we decided to let the agent carry out all the viewings, which worked extremely well with excellent communication and feedback before and after each viewing carried out by Alex, Madison and Sarah. Fortunately, we had two viewings which generated acceptable offers with Alex negotiating on our behalf to secure an offer of the full asking price. From accepting the offer, through to exchange of contracts, Alex has continued to provide an excellent service as a “go between” the various parties keeping us all up to date with effective communications. In summary, we are extremely pleased with the level of service received, particularly from Alex, and feel that achieving an asking price offer justified the higher fees incurred. We would have no hesitation in recommending Breckon & Breckon to others, but hope that we will never have the need to avail ourselves of the services again.

He has kept us informed every step of our sale & when we have had questions, John has responded almost immediately even out of work hours which we never expected. You will always be able to speak to someone at Breckon & Breckon which I know can be rare among estate agents. We had heard a lot of horror stories about estate agents being quick to secure your custom & then finding that you cannot contact them, however, if this is true, then, Breckon & Breckon are the complete antithesis of this because we have felt as if our custom is truly valued at all times, from the sale sign going up to exchange!
