We have been working with Dey King & Haria Estate Agents for around seven years. Before appointing them, we had experience with a number of local letting agents in the Watford area, and what stood out with Dey King & Haria was how personable and knowledgeable they were, together with their proactive approach to managing our properties. Over the years, we have found them very good at finding practical solutions when issues arise and, where necessary, finding sensible middle ground with tenants while still protecting our position as landlords. That balance is not always easy to achieve, but in our experience, they manage it very well and in a way that feels fair to everyone involved. We have a double-digit property portfolio which we feel is exceptionally well managed. Void periods are kept to a minimum with a consistent focus on securing good-calibre tenants, rents are reviewed regularly and with a strong understanding of the local market, and there is always a considered approach to rent increases, with the aim of achieving the best possible return while remaining mindful of market conditions, tenant retention and the wider position. Equally, they remain mindful of a tenant’s position without compromising the landlord’s interests or the proper management of the property. We have dealt predominantly with Ketz during our time with the agency but have always found the wider team to be equally welcoming, approachable and caring. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with Dey King & Haria. If you are looking for a letting agent that thinks a little differently, is forward-thinking and proactive, but without compromising standards or cutting corners, we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Brought my first property with DKH and I would recommend them Rebecca and Hannah were great, positive honest demeanour when showing us the property, there was no rushing or covering anything. Dey King and Haria were very professional and pleasant to deal with, helping me to get my flat ready for sale and setting a realistic price, with good evidence and market knowledge. They were good through the viewings and offer negotiation phase and good at keeping the complicated legal process (of selling a leasehold property) ticking along. And they were exceptionally helpful when there was an issue with the flat just before completion (the upstairs flat had a leak which required urgent investigations, a fix, and repairs). I should mention that I'm based overseas, so I really appreciated having someone local 'on the case'. I had good experiences with all of the staff, but the way it panned out I had most to do with Hannah James, Sales Progressor, who I would like to thank personally for going the extra mile. I felt that Dey King and Haria were professional and fair to all parties, so if needed to either buy or sell a property in the area again, I would certainly use them.
