Sold the house but had no contact whatsoever after the sale sign went up checking on the progress of the sale which took several months. Would have given more stars if more contact was made. Didn't feel like paying nearly 2k was justified because of this but otherwise no issues.

Lived next door to unruly neighbours , letting agents did not bother to help . Had many residents complain and they did nothing . Would not let them rent my house out .

I am disappointed with the professionalism and care from Newton Fallowell for a few reasons. I am a first time landlord and wanted to rent out my property short term. Initially, the service was great, friendly and helpful. The sales team discussed renting and sold me a package that would ensure the agents would look after my property throughout the tenancy. Once the tenancy started, I received a few payments late which needed chasing up by me. These late payments were due to processing in the office and not through late payments by the tenant. In speaking to other people that let properties through Newton Fallowell - this seemed to be a common issue. However, the biggest disappointment was when the tenant moved out. I was informed an inventory was due to be taken place but I was not informed of the results until I contacted the office the next day. In the interim, I went to check on the property and noticed several breaches of contract; the kitchen had been painted dark grey, there was mixed waste left in the recycling bins, the property smelt strongly of smoke and the property wasn’t particularly clean. I was incredibly upset that my property hadn’t been taken care of, so contacted the office to check these things had been picked up on the inventory. From here onwards, Newton Fallowell lettings were unprofessional, defensive and unhelpful. Despite the breaches of contract stated above, the tenant received all their deposit back. I was promised that the rubbish would be removed from the property, however, it is still yet to be collected. I would not recommend letting your property through Newton Fallowell if you want your rent paid on time and your property left subject to contract at the end of the tenancy agreement.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Very disappointed with the level of service and care. Photographs were disappointing and didn't show the house off to its best potential. I therefore had to take my own photos to up uploaded onto the website. Once we had sold there was barely any communication with updates from the agents who were supposed to be chasing the chain and keeping us informed with what was happening. I was even told that it was not the agents job to do this chasing but our solicitors, this of course was incorrect. When the company came to change the for sale board to a new one as the old one had blown off they left loads of pieces over our front garden, not very appealing for people looking at buying the house. The fact we paid them double what we paid the solicitors for little or no work was ridiculous and they didn't seem to ever go out of their way to make selling less stressful and easier.

Imagine being such an awful person that you're willing to spend your life causing misery to the masses working for the universally hated "job" of estate agent.

First time looking to rent and saw a property online, requested a call from the agent and heard nothing, tried calling them to no avail, when i got through they said the lettings team had gone and would be back Monday and to await a call. Monday heard nothing and the property is no longer available. Shocking customer service

Absolutely disgusting service. Avoid like the plague. Also. To add to the horrible service I have unsubscribed from receiving your marketing emails, but am constantly still receiving them!

Wouldn't allow us to do check out at the end of tenancy even though it's advisable to. Keys have been handed back and we asked to be present for the check out stage so if anything was wong we could put it right. So no money came out of our deposit Marni said no to this and she don't have to tell us when it's been done. Now every website I've been on says as a tenant you should attend. Not recommend tp0 use this company if you want things done correctly.
