Decent enough during the tenancy, but the end-of-tenancy experience was very poor. Deposit return took six weeks. Cleaning and gardening works charged, which we disagreed with, happened in the days immediately before new tenants moved in — looked far more like turnover prep than remediation of anything we left behind. Communications about the DPS submission were inconsistent from one day to the next. We accepted the deductions in the end only because formal adjudication wasn't worth the hassle for a few hundred pounds.

Hi Greg, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear you felt disappointed with the end-of-tenancy process. We do feel it is important to clarify that deposit returns and any proposed deductions must follow the correct process and, as managing agents, we can only act once instructed by the landlord and in line with the evidence available. The property was fully refurbished before the tenancy started, and any cleaning or gardening issues raised at the end of the tenancy were reviewed against the condition of the property at check-in and check-out. We also made you aware of the proposed works and deductions before anything was submitted, as you had initially advised that you did not believe any works were required. With regards to the timescale, we appreciate that waiting for a deposit return can be frustrating. However, deposit negotiations can sometimes take several weeks, particularly where works, invoices, landlord instructions and tenant responses are involved. Once everything was agreed, the deposit was processed through the correct DPS procedure. We always aim to communicate clearly and fairly throughout. That said, we do feel a 1-star review is unfair and does not accurately reflect the overall service provided, especially as you have noted that the service during the tenancy itself was decent. The review appears to be based mainly on the final stage of the deposit process, where the correct procedure had to be followed by all parties. We wish you all the best for the future. Would give 0 if I could. Been to two viewings, and both apartment blocks had scaffolding all over them - this was never mentioned in the property listing, on the phone or via email. There was no knowledge of when this scaffolding would be taken down. There was no knowledge on the council tax band. Absolutely should be illegal to advertise a building as though it has no scaffolding on - scaffolding stops the balcony’s/ windows from being in use & makes the apartment smell horrendous. Me and a friend travelled for over 2 hours, spent over £30 on 2 separate occasions for viewings and both times it has been a massive disappointment. Do better.

The worst Agency in Southampton they are ignoring you when you e-mail to them and they asking couple times about same things so they asking you about something one day and they are ask about same thing next day.They are not respect a clinet.Others Agnecys doing that job much better.

I was clearing out my inbox when I came across an email from you suggesting I write a review. I was a tenant back in 2016 but I can never forget how you sent me a £300 cleaning bill after telling me how immaculate the house was only a few days earlier for a viewing - and I hadn't even started cleaning as I did when the furniture was later moved out. You zoomed in on a bread crumb left when I lifted the microwave and a shadow of the tree outside on my living room to make a case with the DPS that there were stains on the carpet and the house was unclean. Really? Stains on the carpet of the immaculate house? You needed to zoom in on a bread crumb and cleaning that costs £300? I shouldn't have listened to you to just leave the keys inside, and instead should have been there and sorted check out in person, so fake pics may not be taken. You couldn't meet me at the time convenient to me and I didn't think I shouldn't trust you. It may have been years ago but I can never forget what you did to me - you clearly have a thing going with some 'cleaning' company to send me that kind of bill for a thoroughly clean house. Perhaps if I have time I should have this investigated again...I wish I wasn't reminded of this experience though. Hope it was worth it Ben. Best Meron.
