We bought a house in Anerley, which Streets Ahead were marketing. We found out dealings with the estate agents to be fine, but they've spoilt our opinion of the company by refusing to collect their "SOLD" sign, from the front of our house. We've phoned several times and they keep fobbing us off, hoping we'll take the sign to the tip on their behalf.
After a good start, a disappointing end. The lead agent failed to disclose full information in relation to the tenants' …
We’ve been very disappointed with our experience after signing our tenancy agreement. Once the contract was completed, communication from the agency slowed significantly. It has regularly taken a week or more to receive responses, often only after we’ve followed up ourselves. Both the move-in process and the handling of several outstanding repairs through property management have been frustratingly slow. Overall, it feels like there is not enough coverage or accountability in place to provide tenants with the support they should reasonably expect. There is also so much confusion between who our point of contacts are - the hand off between John Payne and Acorn is inefficient. We’ve also had to work with three different property managers since we’ve moved in (and it hasn’t even been 60 days in the property). We are sent in different directions and feel constantly stuck in a communication limbo. Not a good start to a lengthy tenancy agreement. Would highly not recommend renting based on our experience.
Red flag! Lack of communication, transparency and urgency throughout the whole process. Also will make you sign a consent form that allows them to circumvent tenant rights. DO NOT SIGN THE CONSENT FORM.
The person who called me because I put an enquiry for a house, failed to 1- explain the full house details. 2- nonprofessionalism through overriding and never given a chance to share my questions/opinions about the enquired house. 3- hung up straight onto face when I shared my unavailability to view room.I felt the lady over the phone was rude and unhelpful as she presented herself to be not interested in me showing other properties- this was without even asking me. This post is to highlight the workers at Street Agents who treat the callers poorly. This was my second experience and same poor experience.
I’ve had a terrible experience with Kristen. I understand she was on leave during a refund process. However, before she left, I updated her on the phone. Over email, she denied this information was told to her and it’s “news “ to her. I complained about poor service and she called me. she rudely said that she saw I complained but that “I’m sorting this out now aren’t I”. While she was away, I called and one of her cok workers took my details and said they will get back to me and never did. I found a place a few months back, luckily. And also received my refund after chasing for weeks. But I have never met such an incompetent team. Mistakes can happen but having an attitude is unacceptable.
Worst service ever. I have rented a property from streets ahead in March 2021 and after that I have reported so many problems in the house. They didn’t reply on any problems in the house. I have sent 7-8 emails for an emergency situation but they didn’t respond.I have never recommend anyone to use streets ahead Purley letting agency.
Organised potential renters for my home, I specifically requested no pets, so when they did find someone suitable I was happy. This is until I found out Emily had withheld the fact the tenant had 3 dogs after contracts had been signed ('no pets' removed from contract to tenant). Wasn't happy to say the least, terrible service, it's true what they say about estate agents afterall!
