This is the first time we have use Streets Ahead to move. The property is great but prior and during the move, Streets Ahead South Norwood Branch have backtracked on several things, and have essentially called us liars. We approached them with concerns personally and privately, when asked to review their services on Facebook, and received the following: Maxime (Lettings Manager) denied all conversation about an issue, Aidan (Lettings Negotiator) implied that we were lying on that topic. Furthermore a non-working key that was assured to be replaced, has now been advised that the landlord will have to sort it. To boot, we received claims that Streets Ahead was constantly in touch throughout the process. This was not the case (e.g. we had to sort the problems that their reference company had), I had to chase them, rather than them calling us, and on one occasion we found ourselves left in London on the key pick up date without being told it has been postponed. Thankfully we had not turned up with a van full of belongings on that date, it being a work day. Overall, Streets Ahead is willing to take your money and move you very quickly, but exhibits poor communication and an unwillingness to address or correct their mistakes, being very quick to shift blame onto you. I don't appreciate being called a liar when the issue had been raised prior to even placing a deposit, in person and in writing.

Avoid them - if a property is listed with two agents use any other agent. Simple things like telling you which power meter is yours is beyond them. Simple customer services and urgency are ignored. They will tell you they will do something and then tell you they didn’t say that - even when in writing. #AVOID

Very little communication especially in times of need. Still waiting on the remainder of my deposit after over three months although I have been charged for a standard clean for the next tenant! Pitty it was not cleaned for when I moved in, the fridge freezer didn’t even have any doors! Anyway nobody seems to give a monkeys so will just have to keep waiting! Good luck if you get Cherelle as your property manager, hope u have a lot of hair to pull out!

absolutely appaling customer service and not to be trusted looked at a property through streets ahead purlley no 43 foxley lane purley to rent from a asian lady called tia and her solicitor husband through the agents cut along story short let agreed move in date agreed landlady keeps changing mind absolitely discusting lady keeps back tracking and keeps changing mind never met such a hortible woman and agent who dont know how to neogotiate letting manager laura griffits and lettings neogotiator jodie lawson totally unprofesional and dont know what thete doing lack of experience please stay away from them arranged removal and had to cancel last minute great website rubbish service levels absolutely discusting experience

Very Unprofessional Agency, Loosing time. Very unorganised and disrespectful. They booked 20 other people at the same viewing time as me for vewing the property, and after waiting for her all of this time, we have been told that they do not have the key and the tenant is not in. Horrible experience! If there is less than one star I got to give it I never recommend it for anybody! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Awful experience with Natalie who supposedly manages the purley office. She doesn’t do her job properly and even worse than that she’s lied to both landords and tenants. She’s let the rest of the company down!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE !!! Beware of these DODGY people - I was ROBBED AT THE PROPERTY I was renting due to their negligence to maintain it and replace the balcony door, which the burglar has used to break into the house !! After I told them I'm moving out, they've arranged a viewing behind my back, inviting 10 people who walked around and touched my stuff - I've had a hidden CCTV recording !! At last they have arranged a check out without letting me know over the Easter Bank Holiday while I was moving out, unable to be present at it !! Then they said they will charge me for the broken balcony door that they've previously promised to fix - WHAT A LAUGH !! I wish to all the people I've dealt with within this agency to rot in hell - hope that Karma gets you and turns your life into a sick nightmare as you deserve it; people like you shouldn't have a right to breathe.

Clearly don’t vet tenants very well. I’ve had to consecutive neighbours living next door to me that have been very noisy. The second lot have been noisy every night since moving in. They won’t even discuss the second lots with me despite sending them video evidence of what’s going on. There’s more to a good tenant the their ability to pay their rent. Streets ahead are a disgrace!

If I could give it a 0 star I would ! An absolute nightmare of an agency to deal with from a tenant perspective. Right from the beginning when I rented - issues , lack of contract in place literally until 2 days before moving in I didn’t know if I actually secured the place. Head of lettings didn’t even bother to let me know what is going on, it was me constantly chasing and trying to find out what is going. The real saga started however upon vacating property. Various agents arranging viewings of the property without prior arranging with me, random viewings at 8 pm without agreeing upon. To the point when the guy who was meant to do the check out never turned up and nobody bothered to inform me. The attitude of staff there is another story , it’s almost like they’re doing you a favour ! I was told to come to their offices to drop off the keys or send it via recorded delivery (on my expense!) after being stood up by their staff. Now I’m sure getting a deposit back will turn out to be another mayhem ! Please avoid them at all cost ! Not worth the stress ...
