Years ago this was a 5* go-to, I don't think it's rose tinted reminiscence but the food isn't as good/ flavourful/ value as it once was. Staff are still nice and the venue just the good side of cosy/busy.

Went for date with my boyfriend as we really love Japanese cuisine. Place looks very authentic this includes small seating spaces. Unfortunately food wasn’t that great. Rice was plain (no sugar/salt/vinegar), set menu served different side dish (without notification), fried mackerel was cold & soggy. Pickles were not the freshest. Side salad was like from kebab shop with garlic mayo sauce. Good presentation but not very authentic taste. Bit disappointing. Relatively cheap.

This is one of my favourite restaurants and I have been coming here for years but, having but been for a while, I visited last night with a friend and, despite the food being fabulous (as always) we did feel incredibly rushed from the moment we sat down and then the menu's. I appreciate that this is a popular restaurant which gets very busy, especially at weekends, but the pressure and constant asking if we were ready to order and or wanted anything else, made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Food is incredible though!

Good portion. But the taste is not really good for an Asian. Just better than the supermarket one. The greatest is a lot of parking space in surrounding area.

The only downside and reason for the negative review is that I feel rushed out of the restaurant. When I dine, I don’t like to be rushed, it is not a nice experience and I appreciate that they need to turn over tables, but just let diners relax rather than hurry them out of the door. That it poor service and I don’t appreciate it.
