When offers in the region off actually means not willing to negotiate at all and all to happy to drag out the negotiation process because they have more viewings next week! Was also shown a house in Rudyard Drive, Blackburn covered in 1970 artex but no mention of the risk of asbestos in the sales information which is a direct breach of the CPRs.

In all instances we will follow our client’s instructions as to whether they want to continue with all viewings booked before they consider accepting an offer. Consumer protection is important as we ask our clients to complete questionnaires on all properties brought to market. When we are aware of any potential issues prospective buyers would be informed before viewing.

I’ve ring the office this afternoon to explain them we are on the way and will late for 30 mins due to traffic. We’ve came all the way from London NW6 to view the property at olive lane in Darwen. Because of traffic we are late for 30 mins and already over the 160 miles on the way. I told them I can view the property even after end of the day if that’s will help since it’s over 200 miles to go back to London without viewing the property but the person I spoke to turn me down plainly. I explained to him I’m cash buyer and ready put the offer in today. He still turn me down even after I explain to him it’s will be really disappointing making over 500 miles round trip from London for nothing. Really appalling service. I feel bad for me and the seller of the house who will want to sell the house as well. Really bad service.

Contacted office 3 times after I made an offer to speak to the person dealing with it. Everytime got told they will get person to call me back. Nobody bothered calling me for an update. They go on about being ethicall and following procedures when it comes to others.

I am an investor who purchases many properties in the local area. This is the only company I avoid at all costs. Trust me run and save yourself the hassle. On two different occasions I have witnessed the same pattern. I have offered the full amount and showed my proof funds. A week later I keep getting pushed to increase my offer as though I am bidding in a price war. The last time this happened it felt like they chose an individual they wanted to sell it to and didn’t bother with anybody else despite me offering the full asking price. This is not at all professional. Please avoid this company at all costs. Not only are the staff unhelpful but so is the manager Ben.NegativeProfessionalism

Very poor service, made me go through through a whole application process to be told at the end they couldn’t accept my application. I’ve dealt with several letting agencies and can honestly say these are the worst by far. If you’re looking to rent I’d steer clear and save your time

Good Morning Alex I am sorry that we could not progress your application further on this occasion. I have tried to contact you by telephone and left voice messages yesterday and again this morning. Within the terms of our management agreement we offer our Landlords an undertaking to pay their rent on time whether or not this is received on time from the tenants. Due to this undertaking our tenants have to pass Let Alliance’s credit check and reference criteria. We try to be as transparent as possible regarding our application process and we do explain on our application form that we can only offer a tenancy once we have received back a satisfactory credit check and reference report and have the Landlords formal instructions to offer a tenancy . We process numerous applications for tenancy each day and have received some extremely positive feed back. Had a few dealing with this estate agency as a buyer, each time it was an awful experience, the latter being the one I am going to focus on. I put an offer in for a property almost immediately after being one of the first to view - offer was inches away from the asking price. I subsequently requested for the property to be taken of the market but this was not accommodated and wanted another £1k from me to do so, despite offering over 98.5% of the asking price (property well over £350k) and provided all the finance proof inc DIP. House was then sold to someone else! who I have since learnt also offered the EXACT SAME amount ** a week later ** , and the estate agents excuse was they're paying CASH, which was not the case either! Dealt with a person from start to finish who's name begins with "E", who then left the matter with the girls to inform me that I haven't secured it ,rather than speaking to me directly (he knew how badly I wanted the house). I tried to bump up my offer immediately, but was faced with a negative tone and nothing came of it. Felt it was all 'manufactured' to sell to the other party. Hope I never have to deal with Mortimers ever again and glad sellers are using them less and less in my catchment areas.
