SLUM LANDLORDS - My partner & I rented a property through this company. My partner lived in the property for 7 years and I lived there 2 years. In April 2021 we reported damp in the bedroom coming from the old boiler. They did nothing. In October we found mushrooms growing behind our bed along with a large patch of mould. I contacted them and threatened to take the to tribunal if they didn't fix the issue. It was fixed in 3 days at that point. Then came our six months notice to leave. We were told not to rush but the company harassed us into leaving. We eventually moved out after three months and have now been advised we have to pay for multiple services. They have claimed that the oven needs cleaning, yet in their original documentation regarding the state of the property it is noted that the oven is in a poor state. They have claimed we broke a window yet as the property has not been maintained within the seven years rental the old wooden frames have rotted away. This has been reported to them on several occasions via the telephone and via email yet now they are trying to charge us for it. There was one instance where, for whatever reason, my partner paid the rent a handful of days later than usual yet this didn't stop one of their employees sending a vile and billious email threatening eviction for being late with the money. Not one seconds thought or consideration to there being a global pandemic and the possibility my partner, as a key worker, may have been ill with the virus. When challenged it was apparently an automated message, which if true, I would suggest someone with better grammar and ability at writing puts together all automated communications. In short, if you are looking to rent, avoid this business.

Stayed in a property during the first lockdown, when I moved in the other tenant informed me the property had no hot water since the summer before (so thats atleast 6 months), we also had a leak whenever it rained drip down the wall and the dining room chairs were damaged and never repaired. As soon as I mentioned with holding rent, a plumber was sent out to get us hot water again TEN MINUTES LATER. The staff are rude and will hang up on you, and will try and say things via phone call rather than over email where theres a paper trail, genuine scam artists. Worst letting agents I have ever had to deal with. They now send me newsletter emails which I never signed up for too.

The worst agency ever! Dealing with Linda is just a nightmare, stop causing your tenants stress just because you can't handle it yourself. I've received false accusations from some of their scams that are mentioned on other reviews (trying to accuse me of a cracked mirror that was already broken when I moved in despite me making them aware of this before I even moved in) I'm worried they will take my deposit from me when I move out even though I have already had to repaint the flat from my own money and am left to fix things on my own. Meanwhile I have seen the manager sleeping in the car during office hours while their employees tell you they aren't around. I've been renting the property for 6 years, which is over £30k rent, and still they are unwilling to help me fix basic human needs like a broken washing machine or oven that has stopped working. I can't even cook food for myself during the lockdown. Avoid them at all costs, please contact me if you have had similar problems as this can become a legal case due to high level of incompetency.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
