We have worked with Karl Tatler Estate Agents Moreton Office for many years, but our recent experience has been deeply disappointing. I’m writing this review to share our experience and hopefully help others make an informed decision. We own a property that we’ve rented out for years. In October 2024, we planned to take the property back for renovations and to move in ourselves. We informed the agency several months in advance via email, clearly stating that we wanted to end the tenancy by mid-October. We asked them to communicate this with the tenants accordingly. All email records were kept, and our message was very clear. However, due to a misunderstanding on the agent’s part, our instruction to take the property back in October was misinterpreted as an extension of the tenancy until December. As a result, we were unable to regain possession of the property until December, which completely disrupted our renovation plans. We had already arranged contractors, and the delay led to both financial and scheduling losses. We raised the issue with the branch manager. Although she offered an apology, it felt insincere and no reasonable solution was proposed. Instead, we were told we would need to bear the consequences ourselves. This approach was extremely disappointing and showed a lack of accountability. To make matters worse, we had also arranged to collect the keys on a specific date, only to find out that the office had closed early due to an equipment failure—without any prior notice to us. We made the trip for nothing and had to wait another two days before we could finally collect the keys. This lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable. We understand that mistakes can happen—but how a company handles those mistakes is what really matters. In our experience, Karl Tatler Moreton Office failed to take proper responsibility and did not demonstrate the level of service we expected after years of working with them. I hope this review helps other landlords make a more informed choice when selecting a letting agency.

I am sorry to say that my experience was dreadful. I live abroad and was selling my mother’s property on her behalf as she had to move into a Care Home.. At the beginning all seemed professional, photos etc although of course strict conditions. Once interest was shown with a prospective buyer who could not actually afford to buy the bungalow all was a horrendous experience. What should have taken 8 to 12 weeks took 16 weeks . I honestly felt that Tatlers was working for the buyers and not myself. They should never had advised a sale to these people.

Having gone through all documented communications and recorded phone calls we can see Branch Manager Darren's email on 24th March did provide a full explanation of the situation. And, as he states 'we pride ourselves on trying to provide the best possible service', so we again, apologise that your experience wasn’t what you were expecting.
