Hi Jade. It seems that you have had a bad experience with Martin & Co recently to which i am very sorry about, however we are not sure this relates to our office as we have no record of you on our systems. Would you be able to give our office a call at all to discuss what has happened?

a friend of mine was renting 7 Vicars Road, for about £1000 pcm. He moved out in December but Martin & Co charged £300 for a supposed furniture removal, turns out the furniture is still being used by the occupants of the house. Last but not least, the house had damp problems in the kitchen but the landlord refused to do anything about it same with the letting agency. I don’t recommend using Martin & Co for things like this.

We are not able to simply deduct money from a persons deposit, the deposit is held with a government approved scheme to make sure it is handled fairly. It is them who determine whether or not a requested deduction is justified or not, i believe you may not be aware of the full situation.

Unprofessional, incompetent, patronising staff. 1 star seems too much. Incapable of responding to emails. Brought in squatters into our property and refusing to take any responsibility for the issues we've had. They've not even paid a months rent. We have no confirmation of the deposit paid either other than just their word.

For anyone reading this comment, we have never had dealings with this person and this branch of Martin & Co has never put squatters into a property.

Would never ever rent a property through Martin Martin Co ever again,contacted numerous times with issues of leaking roof in a property we rented were told our landlady had gone of the radar multiple times,which turned out to be lies as there is email proof and phone records of how much contact they made with her.we were left to live in a damp property and used the excuse of covid to try cover there tracks.the negative reviews are all true,and the professionalism of them is shown in how they reply here.keep well we'll away!! Edit:not sure why Martin and Co against landlady again claiming it wouldn't make sense to ignore repair requests that were accepted.the ombudsman I Believe clearly favoured the landlady's version of events...

Hi Clare. I do apologise for the delayed response, we have recently merged 2 offices together and i was trying to investigate what had happened as i am from the Chorlton side of the business. From what i can see the issue was with the landlord and not ourselves, please understand that if the landlord has given us permission to carry out necessary repairs it would make no sense at all for us to ignore this. I am also sorry that you do not approve to some of our responses on here, however i can assure you we do get reviews from applicants/tenants of other offices as we have several in the Manchester area.

Customer service is terrible lady called pippy ignored my emails. No update after viewing and picture of property different to real life.
