I have been using Belvoir as a landlord's agent since 2006. After a year of good management I found myself frequently chasing them for rents which they had failed to collect and for statements they hadn't sent me. They were also slow to get things fixed for my tenants. I got to a position of looking for an alternative agent and cannot say I felt any more comfortable with the others I investigated. Communication (except for grabbing money for themselves) seemed very poor throughout Manchester at the time. However, Belvoir seems to have improved over the last two years in their rental and finance departments and for the last 9 months has been excellent, so I hope the company manage to keep up what is becoming the professional service they purport to give. My apartment is also for sale and sadly I cannot say the same for the sales team. Their lack of keeping me informed as to viewings, non viewings, the state of the market and suggestions of ways I might attract customers smacks of a total lack of interest and no idea of marketting. What a shame. The Office location in a busy city centre and opportunities they have to become THE agency for tenants and landlord's is not yet realised.
We booked a viewing and I arrived 15 minutes earlier, while the salesman only show up 30 minutes late.
Accommodation with water that does not work correctly, sometimes there is water sometimes not, the same for hot water often it cuts off the real estate agent who took care of me is not very responsive he asked me several times the same documents to believe that he lost them and icing on the cake the agent asked me for my phone to give himself a good opinion on Google which I modified immediately. After only 2 months since I moved in, we'll see at check out.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality
Pictures advertised online are completely different to the property, can never get through via phone to try and book viewings. Emails and messages just get ignored.
Stay away from this agency. This is an edited review from one year ago, I have originally given them five stars as they have asked me to leave a review. Despite their sub-par services, I left a five star review, hoping they would improve, and it has only gotten worse. A man tried to break into my apartment, who turned out to be a bailiff who has come to change the lock, as my previous landlord stopped paying for his mortgage, and the flat I was renting went under the process of repossession. Belvoir were completely unaware of this and failed to communicate to the relevant agencies that there was a tenant living in the property, and if I hadn’t been in the flat at that time, I would’ve been locked out of my flat. After explaining all of this, they said they would look into this, and I heard nothing from them, it has been five months since this happened and I have yet to hear anything from them about any of this. I have thankfully moved on with the new agency who are very professional, efficient and fast, but I would strongly advise against using Belvoir if you don’t want to get into legal trouble.
A team of incompetent people, I have reported a leakage from the flat above my flat which they are managing, they didn’t do anything other than saying the leakage is from the water pipes located in the roof. Fast forward the ceiling end up collapsing in my flat and after a quick inspection turned out to be 100% from the bath tub and not from whatever they were making up. 1 star review is not enough
They didn’t even turn up to the viewing
I don't know what they're like as letting agents but as estate agents they are absolutely appalling.
