We were not having much luck with the well-known "purple" provider and so canvassed around a few estate agents in Greenwich and the quality is unsurprisingly very varied, from the wheeler-dealer types, to the lack of communication types or the quite frankly extortionate types. John Payne was none of these. From a very good start to communication channels with Matthew who was courteous, friendly and punctual on coming to the flat to discuss and offering material to look over, we knew JP would be high up on our list of agents to use. Once we committed to them, Sue Denny took over and within 2 days had a prospective viewing which happened to be our buyer. We waited all of a week to sell the flat whereas the purple provider was much longer and less successful overall. Essentially you pay for what you get and I will admit to being wary of estate agents in the past but JP and in particular Sue were superb. Sue is of course very experienced, knowledgeable and extremely proactive but has also never come across as pushy, over-eager or one-sided; in essence the perfect person to take the reins of a stressful situation in anyone's lifetime moreover in the thick of a pandemic! Well done Sue, Matthew and all of the team at JP East Greenwich. We wish you all the best for 2021 and a happy Christmas too.

We used John Payne to manage our property whilst renting it out and to sell it. Both were done excellently by John Payne and we’d definitely recommend them to others. On the sale side, Abbie Bullard was extremely dedicated and efficient in pushing our sale through and coordinating all the different people in the process - thanks a lot Abbie!

We tried to sell our house with another local estate agent but, after becoming frustrated with the lack of communication and viewings, decided to try John Payne instead as we had noticed they were selling a lot of houses around us. Best decision we made. Tracey was fantastic throughout and had multiple viewings setup with 24 hours, and we agreed an offer within a week. Throughout the process she kept us updated, which for anyone who’s sold a house before knows that simply being kept up to date relieves so much of the stress. Compared to some of the other estate agents in the chain, John Payne were professional, empathetic, and most importantly, actually got stuff done. Would highly recommend.
