I was put off by their unprofessionalism, they had a guy called Oz who's mannerism seemed akin to a dodgy used car salesman (vastly trying to over price and over promise on the phone after seeing the property to get my business - seemed very spivish), so I choose another local agent who soon found a buyer at a sensible price, but after 6 months it fell through as probate took so long and the market was moving against me. Oz somehow must have learned of this and cold called me to try get my business (fair play I thought, I'd give anyone a chance). I was going to consider at first, so I asked him to call back in a week as I had only just learned of the sale falling through and I was fairly upset and in shock and would need a little time to consider my next move. Despite such a simple and polite request, he became quite aggressive and arrogantly insisted he'd be calling back the next day. I asked him not to and repeated everything I had just said but he just carried on and in the end I actually had to put the phone down on him! I think putting the phone down on him did the trick as fortunately he did not call back the next day. Not the sort of cold call you would expect to say the least but it certainly validated my reason for not choosing Connells in the first place and in the end I stuck with the original agents (WM Browns) whom eventually sold it and whom I can certainly recommend.
