We went through Silver Oak to purchase a property and got led on and lied to to be quite honest. multiple parties were interested in the property, the estate agent Greg said that he didn't want to start any bidding wars and asked the parties to present one final offer for the owner to look at.
Our offer initially got accepted by the owner and we started the legal process to secure and purchase the property. We then received a message a few days later saying that someone else had offered more. We offered higher and it went back and forth like this for a few days.
The agent created a bidding war which he initially said he did not want to happen this led us to extreme stress and upset as we didn't have long to find somewhere to live.
I would not recommend this agent.
I hope other first time buyers find this helpful.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand that purchasing a property can be a stressful process, and we’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with how this sale progressed.
As estate agents, we are legally and ethically obligated to present all offers to the seller, who ultimately makes the decision on which offer to accept. In this instance, the seller initially accepted your offer but later chose to proceed with a higher offer from another party. While we appreciate how frustrating this must have been, this is a common occurrence in property transactions and not something we have control over.
Our role is to act in the best interest of the vendor, ensuring they have full visibility of all offers and can make the best decision for their circumstances. We always strive to maintain a fair and transparent process for all buyers and sellers, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. If you’d like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
Best regards,
Silver Oak Property
