I would avoid letting with Mundys at all costs. Very unprofessional, they lie, take their time when things have been reported and really just want your money. They'll do anything to deduct money from your deposit.
After buying a house with Mundys I thought I would be writing a positive review. The team we purchased our house with were efficient and pleasant to work with. Unfortunately Mundys showed their true colours when we came to move out of the rental we were living in. Unbelievably high charges upon moving out, week's of delays in returning our deposit and even had the nerve to quote one price to us in the inspection and triple it upon the final charges. We went from recommending Mundys to dreading every interaction with them. They represent everything that is wrong with the rental system today. Renters Beware.
I wish I’d read these reviews a year ago, I would never have got involved I renting from them. I moved into the property after 3 people moved out (within days of them leaving) the inspection report was sent to me but there was quite a bit …
Called to let them know that a viewing on the property I'm letting (landlord is selling) would not be viable on Friday due to resting for a nightshift and that I would be happy to re-areange (I was planning to suggest saturday or sunday); …
They overpriced the house, we put the house on the market with the value THEY gave us only to be told a few weeks later to drop the price by £25k. They couldn't understand my disappointment when I told them it was THEM who told us it was worth the value they gave us and now why would they want us to drop it by £25k. Also we were told the estate agents fees were a % of the sale price only to find out later there was a set lower limit fixed price which obviously was a lot more than the % of the house value, they clearly need more training on what their own company offer to people, but then again I think they know what they are doing, conning people to go with them, then everything changes. My own fault for staying with them I should have gone elsewhere but with all what the family had been through we just wanted the property sold. I would not recommend this company and would never use them myself again.
Mum bought a park home through Mundys. It was a total fiasco, they didn't even get proof from the seller that they owned the property! The park site suggested to us to ask for some as the previous owner had thrown all paperwork out before he died. The sales team don't know what they're doing, and the sales negotiator Claire is clueless. Avoid at all costs.
