Absolutely disgraceful. 48 hours before my step daughter was due to move into a rental property Chancellors have told her that the move cannot go ahead. She has a signed contract and has paid the deposit. No one is responding to phone calls or emails. Spent the whole morning trying to get hold of someone to find out what is happening.
What is happening with Camberley branch??? Grabbed our holding deposit and it is impossible to get them to process the rental of the property? Not responding to emails, calls, excuses “working from home”. Up until grabbing the holding deposit the communication was fast and keen?? Shame for such an abysmal service!
Very unreliable. Have been waiting since this morning for a call back for a key code to a new property for my uncle to move into. We have spoken to various employees who have promised to be in contact but to no avail. We are currently sat outside his now previous property with removal vans packed and ready to go to the new property. He had to vacate his property by 12pm today he is 72 and now homeless. We have visited the office in Brecon and that is also closed. We are disgusted with the service or lack of that has or in this case not been provided.

Once again we have been completely failed by the Chesham branch and its managers. Our previous tenants vacated the property 4 months ago. It was recommended by Chancellors that we collect a small cleaning fee for the condition that the property was left in. Despite holding the deposit, Chancellors have still not released the cleaning money owned to us from the tenants. What’s more disappointing, is unprofessional behavior of the Chesham branch. They have been ignoring calls and passing us around different people to appear that they are resolving the issue. It is very clear that they have no intention of giving us the cleaning fee or resolving the issue. Staff are rarely responded to emails and are unwilling to carry out the tasks that they are paid to do as property managers. This is just one issues we have had, and we no longer have Chancellors managing the property. Avoid like Covid!
Well where do you start. Firstly this is not a reflection on the Sales team. They have been pleasurable to communicate with but little they can do in terms of letting. Office Manager????????? Who ? THE LETTINGS TEAM ARE A JOKE. TIMOTHY IN PARTICULAR!!!!! NO RESPONSE, LITTLE CORRESPONDANCE AND POOR COMMUNICATION. The background. A young couple apply to rent a property. The young lady is 28 weeks pregnant and looking to up size due to arrival and a growing family. Usual viewings etc takes place and an application is applied for to rent a property. All the paperwork etc is submitted and the couple await the response from letting team and landlord after compulsory checks are complete. During this period Chancellors are advising the couple to hand notice of termination to their current letting agreement with another landlord. They DO NOT take this advice until 100% the letting agreement is signed by all parties. This was a struggle as the letting team did not know a particular body part from their elbow. 15 Days after signed agreement an email is received from Chancellors informing the couple that the landlord has withdrawn. NO REASON OR EXPLANATION. JUST AN EMAIL. NO PHONE CALL FROM LETTING TEAM OFFERING ANY OTHER PROPERTIES OR ADVICE!!!!! JUST AN EMAIL. There is now a young couple 28 weeks pregnant having handed in their Notice to terminate soon to be homeless. GREAT WORK CHANCELLORS!!!!!!!!!!
we viewed a house to rent & were told we would be called th following day for them to take the holding deposit. after a total of 5 calls & an email we finally got the call 2 days later tha n expected but were told we'd receive a call on the following Monday to take the holding deposit yet it was another 2 days later after another load of phone calls to the office we were told that there was now others interested in the same property & they would now hand over to the landlord to decide who he wanted as tennents. we were messed around from the start all the way till we said enough is enough & that we were no longer interested in dealing with a company that was not only totally unreliable but lied to us. stay away from this company if you can as they will only let you down.Bethany Edwards is the woman we were dealing with who constantly lied to us & refused to take our holding deposit. We told her we wanted to move in on 29th of June & here we are less than 2 weeks away & still no answer to as if we were allowed. There's no way on earth that I would disrespect my current landlord that I would give him less than 2 weeks notice of our intention to vacate his property. You may think that it's an exceptable way to treat somebody but some of us have moral standards

o whom it may concern, I am not used to giving this kind of review or writing at all because I believe that we can all make mistakes. But I think there are mistakes that cannot be made 3 times. A month and a few days ago exactly I started to fill out the documentation to acquire a house with Chancellors. They called me very early every day and they were always very aware of what I needed. It took me a week to fill out the form and send all the documentation. The landlord approved us and only our references were missing. They sent us the contract for 25th June and we are supposed to have the house that day. They called me and told me that at 11:30 am on the 25th we would meet at the house to hand over the keys. On Tuesday 23rd June they emailed me to tell me that unfortunately they have to delay the day of moving because we did not have the complete references. We accept that and delay the day to 1st July. On July 1st we were told that it was impossible to move in because the Landlord had withdrawn the application due to our references and 3 days later an email arrived saying that our references are correct. On July 2nd the girl from the agency called me and told me that she has another house that we do not need anything else. That we do not have to worry at all and that she was going to take care of everything and we could move on 9th July. As we were supposed to move on 25th June. We paid rent and deposit on 22nd June and from that day everything was delayed. We thought because they were just putting everything in order but each time we were delaying and delaying more and more. We are on July 7 and the only thing I have done is try to call them and speak to the person in charge but they tell me that at the moment they cannot speak with me. Another very relevant point is that Lucinda Sturla the girl from the agency no longer works there since July 4 and now the manager was Olivia. I am trying to communicate with Olivia from that same day, July 4 and it is IMPOSSIBLE. I spoke to the manager, John and he says he can't do anything because he doesn't have the letting department. What type of company does this to its clients who HAVE ALREADY PAID AN INCOME AND A DEPOSIT OF MORE THAN 2,600.00 POUNDS? The MASSIVE PROBLEM is that at the moment I am on the street because I am supposed to sign a contract for June 25 and then for July 1 and THERE IS NO ANSWER. I left my house on the 25th because the contract ended. This agency takes money from you and does not care about you. This is unheard of and disrespectful to us. Now I am trying to get my money back for two days and I don't get a response. Finally I decided to take legal action and go to lawyers because it seems disrespectful to me.
