Couldnt find the property I liked on the web site and wasnt ready to call until I'd seen more about it
The service we received as potential buyers was really poor so much so we decided not to increase offer on a house as it was dealt with so badly and thought if this is what is what it’s like trying to buy what will the sales progressing be like ! That’s just our experience and view.
Tried to make enquiries about a property and got a rude response. They seemed entirely unbothered and frustrated. Bad customer service!
Awful experience with Kettering branch . If you are looking to rent go elsewhere, there are plenty of other estate agents out there . Staff were dismissive and unhelpful. Had to chase calls and emails .It was as if dealing with tenants was beneath them. Have had to wait for 5 months to get our deposit back after using the Deposit protection service which was very stressful . Avoid !

I rented a property through Henderson Connellan in August 2023. Having departed the property on July 25th 2024 I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned (Sept 2024). As there is no dispute as far as I am aware I cannot fathom why this cant be actioned. When Ive have contacted them to chase them the response has been poor or negligible. Perhaps be careful parting with your money until you establish the method and timescale in which it will be returned. And if your system and processes don't work how about apologising and then doing something to fix them rather than ignoring it and hoping it will go away.
I have never experienced such appalling treatment from an estate agency as I have with Henderson Connellan. As a tenant, it became abundantly clear that their priorities lie solely with their sales clients, and tenants are treated as nothing more than an afterthought. From the start, their communication was atrocious. Trying to get in touch with anyone for basic maintenance issues or general inquiries was a nightmare. Phone calls would go unanswered, emails were ignored for days, and when someone did eventually respond, they were dismissive and unhelpful. It was as if dealing with tenants was beneath them, and we were constantly made to feel like an inconvenience. It’s not just me who’s had this awful experience either — Henderson Connellan’s reputation across Kettering, Corby and Market Harborough speaks for itself. Ask around and you'll quickly learn that they’re widely disliked in the area. Countless ex-tenants share similar stories of being mistreated, ignored, and neglected, while their sales clients receive the royal treatment. It’s a well-known fact that they only care about you if you’re buying or selling property; otherwise, you’re left to fend for yourself. One of the most disgraceful things is their complete lack of concern for health and safety. My rental property was full of mould (a serious health risk) and despite repeated requests to address the issue, nothing was done. They don’t care that tenants are living in unsafe conditions, breathing in mould that can cause severe health problems. The blatant disregard for tenant welfare is shocking and completely unacceptable. Their insincerity is painfully obvious — they’ll plaster on fake smiles and feign politeness when there’s money on the table, but the moment you’re locked into a rental contract, that mask slips, and they couldn’t care less about providing any real support or service. The stark difference in how they treat different clients is infuriating. The level of professionalism at Henderson Connellan is laughable. The staff are rude, unresponsive, and seem to lack even the basic decency to treat tenants with respect. The discrepancy in how they treat different clients is glaring, and their fake, two-faced attitude makes for an unpleasant experience all around, not to mention their desire to cut corners, and yes I will be letting the CTSI know with names and evidence. If you're looking to rent, avoid this agency at all costs. They do not care about you, your concerns, or your well-being. In fact, it’s no surprise that they’re loathed across the county — their treatment of tenants is disgraceful. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
