We’re almost finished with the process of buying a house through Miles & Barr Folkestone, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Everyone we’ve interacted with from the team has been warm, friendly, professional, and actually knowledgeable about their properties (unlike the majority of agencies we have been on viewings with). A shoutout particularly to Georgina, the agent who showed us the property we are purchasing, and Emily, who has been our progressor. They’ve both been extremely friendly and helpful. Georgina had a lot of knowledge not only about the properties she showed us, but also about the area in general. Emily has been great about keeping all the different parts of the process moving without being pushy, and has been extremely efficient and responsive to all calls and questions. Miles & Barr were very proactive in getting our property in Hawkinge sold within 2 months of it going on the market, which was after the stamp duty holiday ending in March 2025. The valuation was realistic, paperwork easy to complete prior to going on the market & they communicated with us well. The agent even went round to cut the lawn on a day off prior to it going on the market. The sale went through within 4 months.

Kayleigh was fantastic. She got to know my house well and was able to clearly communicate my wishes to potential buyers. She was very friendly and was super fast when responding to questions. I’ll use Miles and Barr again when selling a house.

I can't recommend M&B highly enough in terms of how they supported us during our sale at every stage. Their knowledge of the local market is deep and insightful, their approach and strategy was very well thought out, and their attention to detail was very impressive. We achieved what we were looking for very quickly with this level of support. Kayleigh and Sam in particular were excellent, keeping us informed at every step of the way, and dealing with any queries quickly and efficiently. Same even went above and beyond in collecting and taking to the post office a parcel I had neglected to direct to our new address. There was no need for him to do this, however he offered to do it without hesitation. Fantastic service.
