[UPDATE] Their response to this is a joke - if they'd care to explain how anyone should pay £1800 for a house they can't shift for £1400 and where the bath didn't work for 4 years despite constant requests from the tenant - amongst a tiring list of other problems - just explain that ONE POINT - then maybe you can say you acted appropriately - you are a JOKE. YOU RIP PEOPLE OFF AND YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS Absolute scam artists. We lived at 54 clifton st for 4 years, they put the rent up (despite me telling them it wasn't worth it) until we were paying 1800 a month. The bath never worked, damp issues reported, leaking shower reported, never had an itinerary upon moving in, only issued 1 key - got charged for changing the locks at the end because I only returned one key, was forced to pay to redecorate the whole house upon exit - where they were forced to drop the rent to £1400 p/m - they will rip you off until you are exhausted from the BS - ignore your calls and emails about issues and then charge you to fix them when you leave. I was told to fix a broken floor board myself - £1800 a month - no bath - we have kids - no bath - 1800 p/m... terrible, terrible agency - there's reams and reams more but I just cannot be bothered. STAY AWAY, THEY WILL BLEED YOU DRY. They're only interested in keeping the landlord happy because we are just tenant scum with no power. Unfortunately for them tenants do have power and I will do everything I can to warn people away from them. I paid nearly £20,000 in over charged rent the time we were there - they never lifted a f&*(king finger and screwed me after leaving. I cannot warn you enough - STAY AWAY I also strongly suspect these 5* reviews are all paid for - or friends - because there's no bloody way they should get even 1 star UPDATE 2020 Just coming back here because I see they replied with more lies - they didn't act appropriately - they are cowboys and I would still advise everyone to stay the hell away from these scam artists

Massively rude agent, told us we could not have a viewing because lots of other families looked better on paper, and theres no way we could afford the rent - Which even if this had been actually true is a very odd thing to say to a prospective client down the phone. The place was only £100 over our budget and we were hoping to check it out and put in an offer, ended up having a highly offensive phone call that has really disheartened our search for a new home. Will be avoiding Sawyer & Co in future.NegativeProfessionalism

I can honestly say I have never had such bad service. They have lied from start to finish and have charged me a fortune for this privilege. They have awful contractors who do not complete work and left me without hot water for 6 days after I got my property back without an explanation or any communication. Avoid at all cost.

Had a viewing booked fo today that I didn’t get the voicemail for to say it was cancelled three days ago. The booking was confirmed by email yet no cancellation via email. The team knew I was coming from London. I’m a cash buyer. And the house owners were in and I was literally stood outside the house and I was still denied a viewing. Terrible communication, sellers not ready to sell and £60 wasted on journey a day off work I didn’t need to take just cause the estate agents were too lazy to send a simple email. Not interested with dealing with them now rather my fee for a cash buy went to a decent estate agent. If you do use them I highly recommend you treat them them with an inability to do the basic job expected from an estate agent which is to clarify a message has got through to a customer. Don’t deal with Elliot.

Agents didn't show up to a viewing and were then particularly unapologetic on the phone, choosing to pass the buck rather than accept responsibility. Won't be using them for any further viewings. Complete shambles.

Terrible service provided. Stay clear if you are trying to find a rental property.

I would not recommend selling property through Sawyers. I chose them as I thought they would do a good job. However, they managed the sale of my flat very badly, and nearly a year later, I have lost the sale and am out of pocket having moved my tenant out, on their recommendation. Not a good experience. It has cost me dearly.

moved into a property let by this company. after being told it would be professionally cleaned before we move in we found dog hairs all over the carpet, deep mold on the walls, a broken door handle and dirty linen left on the bed, a broken toilet and no working hoover ( which was in the inventory) we where then told that we would not have to pay the checkout fee which is to cover the aforementioned professional clean, and are now being charged for this strongly recommend not renting via this company and if you own a property only let them let it for you if you want to sell lies and be cheated

Review is for Letting dept only (haven't dealt with sales): Rude and unprofessional staff. Messed up everything that could be messed up (rent and deposit amounts, inventory, contract). Didn't even have the courtesy of apologising. Not helpful at all when asked information or assistance. Not sure why would any landlord want to put their property in the hands of these amateurs
