Sold our house in Heaton Norris using Nick Taylor of John Mellor and the experience was surprisingly brilliant. I don't normally have good things to say about Estate Agents but Nick is cut from a different cloth. He has a deep historic knowledge of property in the area and was friendly but professional at all times and his communication and advice was superb. What a legend and thnk you so much for your help.

John Mellor are outstanding estate agents. Other agents made all kinds of promises, some of them false, during my experience of selling and buying a new home. John and his team did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it and to the highest standard. I had more than one offer from the first set of viewings and John was a very skilful negotiator, securing me an above asking price sale. Regrettably, John didn't have a suitable property for me to buy and my experience of viewings with other local agents was very poor, none of them being able to answer even basic questions. One agent failed to show up. John, Nick and Wendy know their properties really well and John did the viewings himself - the contrast couldn't have been more marked. I was selling my property during a period of ill health and John could not have done more to make the process as manageable for me as possible, working really hard to compensate for the poor service provided by the agent I was buying from. Thank you, John - property sales are never going to be easy experiences but you couldn't have done a better job!

A fortnight ago, I completed the sale of my aunt's house in Heaton Chapel, almost fifty years to the day since she and my uncle bought it through John Mellor's late father, Leslie. From the point when I first contacted John Mellor, the firm was a head and shoulders above the others with whom I got in touch: they listened and didn't immediately embark upon a hard sales pitch. The valuation was realistic and a sale was quickly agreed. Negotiations were handled professionally, Nick Taylor worked hard to maintain momentum and kept in touch without the need for me to chase. This seems simple enough but in my experience, few do it. I also received a great recommendation when help was needed to clear half a century's worth of accumulated possessions! I have moved around a lot myself and this was undoubtedly the best experience I've had with an agent.
