From a Buyer's perspective, I found the team here quite accomadating with regards to viewings, and very responsive to enquiries The same cannot be said for local competitors whom after i showed no interest in a property they were trying to sell, all communication ceased. Professional at all times, they also understood that we as buyers, especially first time buyers, may not know the ins and outs of the process of purchasing a property and at no point was i belittled or made to feel stupid for my queries. Sometimes when you phone an estate agent you then get palmed off onto a more junior member of staff, so I was really reassured when he told me he would be selling my house. The team at Curchods Guildford sold my property during the pandemic in 2020/2021 and I have nothing but good things to say about Garry, Matthew, Chris and the rest of the team. I initially had two agents round to value my property. Instead of giving a fluffy sales pitch, Garry provided evidence on why they would be best placed to sell my property, giving info on where they get their buyers from, how many properties like mine they had sold recently and how long they took to sell. He also discussed my own requirements in terms of speed of sale and took that into account when providing a valuation, explaining why he suggested that price level. On putting my property on the market with them, I had accepted an offer within a week. The process after that was a little slower, owing to delays caused by the pandemic, and a less than competent conveyancer and mortgage broker on the buyer's side. But throughout Garry, Matthew and Chris kept me updated. Calling pretty much weekly even if it was just to let me know there unfortunately wasn't any news. I always felt that they were keeping on top of things, which was really reassuring as you can feel a bit helpless when selling your property! They even provided advice on my ongoing purchase, even though it was out of the area and therefore not through them. The last few weeks to get to exchange were stressful to say the least, but Matthew in particular was great at keeping my updated, liaising with my solicitor and generally putting in all the hours to get us over the final hurdle. If I'm ever back in the area I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
