From the first contact Balgores were helpful, gave lots of information so we decided to go with them to sell our house. Once the house was on the market we got lots of viewings but the communication was terrible, often we wouldn't know timings as we were told different things by different people. There were also 2 occasions where we had 2 viewings that weren't booked but luckily someone was in to show them around. Balgores were unaware of these viewings, but they turned up on the right day and around the right time so someone must've given them the information but it never got to us. It took nearly 4 months to sell our house despite around 30 viewings so we feel like the agent who showed the potential buyers around was not putting their best effort in. On the viewing we received an offer, I was the one to show the buyer around due to the original agent having COVID, so I feel like I did their job for them. We were also disappointed with some of the communication we received from Balgores which came across condescending at times. For example, we tried to negotiate a reduced fee, which we thought was fair considering we reduced the sale price by around 10%, we received a long email stating why it was a ridiculous idea and that we were "de-valuing" their roles. We understand this is quite a commission heavy job but we were out of our contract terms at this point and were looking to change agents, the only reason we didn't change agents is because I sold the house a couple of days later. Another example of this is when we were trying to arrange completion dates, I didn't feel listened to as both ourselves, our buyer and our seller could not do certain dates but this fell on deaf ears. Overall, the house got sold which is the main objective but in hindsight we should have gone elsewhere.
