To clarify, we are no longer managing the property in question. However, we do aim to assist both landlords and tenants in finding fair and reasonable resolutions during the deposit return process. In this case, the deductions were proposed by the landlord, who felt that certain charges—such as for cleaning and bathroom damage—were justified. Please note that your deposit is protected by Safe Deposit Scotland (SDS), and you have every right to raise a dispute if you do not agree with the landlord’s proposed deductions. SDS is an independent body that will review evidence from both parties and make a decision accordingly.
