It is very unfortunate I have to give a bad review after a good moving in process. I moved in to a house with jo in January she was very accommodating and very easy to speak to. everything was sorted very quickly with no problems at all and she was very professional. Moving out however has been an absolute nightmare. I began speaking to the agents middle of July to get my deposit back at the end of the month when I moved out. (with the landlords permission and approval). They will just not give my money back, even though I was promised my deposit returned at the start of the month they have promised 4 dates that they will give it back to me and have not done it every time and not even called to let me know. every time I call them up they make an excuse and promise a new date and fail to deliver every time. we are now on the 19th of august and they still have not returned my deposit. its a shame that the standard they give to moving in isn't the same as the aftercare or when you leave the deposit. I am gutted as the team I dealt with at the start where so good. I have been waiting for my money for a month now and especially in this time where money is tight is not fair on the customer at all.NegativeQuality

Very poor estate agent, been looking to rent a property and on 2 separate occasions I have been contacted to say the property is No longer available, when I tried to book to see other property's I never got a call back, the property’s that I book to see had been on the market a for over 2 months, it make me wonder if the agent even had them available at all and they were using them to get people onto there mailing list. If you are looking to rent a property I would stay away from Richard James as I expect they don’t have the property’s to rent, very poor customer service as they never call you back, and if you enquire though there online live help and ask for a call back from the agent they never call you back or get the details, very poor and if I could give Zero Stars I would

We are so sorry to read your comments. We pride ourselves in our service and integrity and so investigated your comments fully. It appears that on 3rd June you booked to view one of our properties on 5th June, but unfortunately it was let on 4th June and we therefore had to cancel your viewing. You then made a booking on 14th June to view a different property on 15th June, but again very unfortunately this property was let first thing on 15th June, and again we had to cancel. I can assure you that all of the properties we advertise to rent and indeed available to rent, but lettings is a very fast paced environment and many of our properties are let very quickly indeed. We have records of calls and emails to you (on separate mobile numbers and email addresses) and cannot see any record of communications going unanswered. We are genuinely sorry that simply due to unfortunately timing we were unable to help you locate a suitable property to rent, and wish you the best in finding your new home.
