We viewed a property twice and had a phone call discussing the final cleaning of the property after which we agreed to get the documents signed and sorted. I was told I would get a call in a couple of days to arrange this. After not hearing back I called the office to find that they had signed an agreement with someone else. We heard nothing from them, yet we had stated our clear intentions to proceed both at the second viewing and the following phone call. Truly DISAPPOINTED with the service given by this estate agent. My husband and I went to see the place TWICE, they said they would do a deep clean of the place and we could then come back to do the paper work. 3 days later we haven’t heard anything back and we phoned and they say it has been let out. No communication with us. It’s just simply rude and unprofessional. I would recommend going to another estate agents if you can, maybe ones that communicate with their clients better and also show a little bit more enthusiasm when showing a property as this was clearly lacking when we went to see it. Seems like most of the positive reviews were a while ago so maybe they have had a re-shift in staff or just forgot how to do their jobs? Unlikey to use again. They continuously pest you on a daily basis, whilst they’re waiting to hear from a solicitor and you cannot personally give them any answers. Yet would find it difficult to return your calls or be put through to the correct person when you’re the one chasing them! They were very poor with updating me via email so that I had written evidence of any updates or progress, even upon numerous requests! And lastly after visiting their office, the smell was absolutely vile. The instant smell of dog hits you as you walk in. It is certainly not professional (or hygienic) to walk into an estate agents to see a massive dog underneath the receptionist desk!!!
Poor service. Made an offer on a Monday heard nothing back by Tuesday evening so rang for an update. They hadn't spoken to the vendor yet but said they would call me once they had. One week on and still hadn't even had the common decency to ring and give an update. How this estate agent has good reviews if they treat people like this is beyond me. Such shame as the house was amazing.

From the very beginning of the process of selling my home all the staff at David Evans have been supportive, informative , and available to walk me through the many forms and questions that need to be dealt with. As is often the case not everything goes smoothly with purchasers and I certainly felt the covering protection of them as my agent in dealing with tricky negotiations. Though I am buying out of their catchment area I have had so much support with my purchase property and subsequent 'form filling' Would I recommend them? Most certainly !!
