Sarah at Brian Holt has been so helpful with my search for a property after my relocation fro London to Coventry. I met Sarah by chance when the allocated person who was due to show me around a house in Earlsdon was running late so Sarah came to do the viewing. During the viewing, Sarah picked up instantly on my needs and what my requirements were. She made me feel at ease and that I was right in waiting for the right property to buy. It was to my delight that when I requested a viewing with Brian Holt for a property a few weeks later in Earlsdon where I live, Sarah was conducting the viewings. She made the time to speak to me even though it was a group booking and also allowed time for my daughter to travel from University in Birmingham later that day to accompany me on a second viewing before closing time. Whilst I did not go with the property concerned, Sarah still contacted me to discover if I had found a property, which I have and went further to check the area, price and location to ensure I had a good buy! This is customer service at its best and I will be returning to Brian Holt in the future whether that's to let my property or buy another one as I have faith that I will be treated well. Thank you Sarah!

Brian holt Good Agency

Overall good agency to rent with. They have replied to every question I asked them and keep being helpful. The only thing which I would suggest to improve is the response time and advance clarity around what the landlord agrees to do regarding property management. Examples would include decorating, household electronics replacement and etc. It would save time for everyone involved into process and d would set up tenants' expectations in advance of their rent start date. Everything else is great. They always turn up on time for viewing, it is easy to make an appointment, they always pass my questions to the landlord. I would recommend them in future.

Relatively good experience

As a Canadian expat, having rented in the UK for the past year and a half, I found the overall experience difficult, to say the least. I have dealt with two real estate agencies in the past and Brian Holt was definitely the better of the two. A bit more personable, seemed to care at least a little bit more for the tenant, provided more convenient payment methods for the deposit and the first month's rent, etc. The process of renting was quite transparent and they were timely in getting back to me.

No Comms, errors in booking appointment, couldn't even get my house valued

I was due to have a Valuation appointment on Saturday 17th October 2020 - this never transpired and I recieved little to no communication or customer service from the Branch in question. I contacted the office on September 17th and spoke to a member of staff who took the details regarding my property and booked me in with an appointment at 10:00, which I put in my phone's calendar. As I can only visit my property at the weekends due to my job elsewhere in the country I ensured I phoned well in advance to secure a valuation booking with them. As the time ticked on past 10:00 this Saturday I called the Coventry office again, to my dismay the member of staff I spoke to confirmed that my appointment did not appear to be there. They noted that they would contact the Valuer to let them know the situation and that they would call me back to discuss. Come 10:35 I had heard nothing, I assumed the Valuer was with a client, so I called back to discuss the possibility of another appointment the next weekend. I explained the situation to other member of staff and they informed me that there were no appointments available next weekend either but they would contact the Valuer to ask them to speak with me about potentially making time to see me considering the situation. I heard nothing then for the rest of the day nor through til Friday 23rd October 2020 (when I sent my formal complaint) this would have given the valuer plenty of time to contact me, apologise and see if there were any possibilities open to complete a valuation. I was incredibly disappointed by this and of course will not (and could not) go forward with a valuation or sale with them. The staff I spoke with were lovely and had excellent Customer Service, however the lack of communication from the Valuer, for me, is incredibly frustrating and an indication of their service.
